Anti Lag On A Road Car

Recommended Posts

Had a run in a DCI Lee's latest incarnation of his STI UK Blobeye.

Steak and chips in my stomach has now been rearranged into something completely different

Now Antilag normally resides ion the forest stages and by gum does it sond impressive echoing through the forests but when you here it echoing through the tenements of Paisley it sounds 20 times louder. Pretty sure the Armed Response Vehicle is crawling about Pasley after recieving numerous reports of Heavy Machine Gun fire in various parts of the town. It not only scared the bejesus out of the various drunken bums slumped on the corners of this fine town but i pooped my pants when it first went off

Oh yeah and 2.1bar peak is not a bad starting point for a base map.

Respect mate,

The Chinese 500 is well and truly here

Looking forward to meeting the Chinese 600 ya mad trout

I remember when Johnny50 had anti lag on his wagon a few years back, it was amazing to be in or following him. The noise was tremendous whether it be waking sleepy villages, or confusing people at rally service parks........ class.

One bad thing is it makes your turbo a serviceable item, but hey its worth it.

Sounds fantastic Peter... Well Done buddy...

I tried to explain the experience after being in Alan G's car...........blurred vision sounds about right ;)

Enjoy.

Seen Peter's car for the first time ever today and being a fan of stealth you would never be able to imagine what kind of performance lies underneath that bonnet. ;)

This car drives really well and especially so since it was re-built in such a short time scale. Modifying to this level can be fraught with issues not normally thought about, but this has none that i could tell.

Very nice. Very very nice. Would be good to see this launching on the strip what with launch control and anti-lag etc.

Then take the wife and kids shopping the next day.... Jekyll and Hyde type of car. Well done Peter. Enjoy it to the full.

The way I have set it, the turbo does not get subjected to any extreme heat.

It means it doesn't actually eliminate lag as effectively as a full WRC set up but it sounds just as mental and you don't need to replace a £10k turbo every stage !

The launch control was my favourite part, that is 'proper' :D Managed to fry my clutch when I was doing the initial set up of Peters new ECU in my Spec C a few weeks ago.

Looking forward to getting it back to complete the high boost mapping Peter :D

Anti-Lag is very trick... will be good to see this going!! [:D]

Didn't realise your car had been rebuilt Peter, what sort of spec have you built it to?? Just that I dont think OEM pistons etc would like >2.0bar of boost!! lol :D

Cheers,

Grant

Yes boss the map is very very good and had my first wee shot of launch control tonight with Playsatan as passenger and by god does it work 'proper'....but my clutch is coping fine with it.It just sling shots of the line with no bog what so ever.

I'm looking to getting it complete on the next map and probably cacking my pants just thinking about running high boost as it's so quick already.

Thanks once again Andy :D

Many thanks to Pete for the spin in his new and improved car.

The quality of the work is top notch and the parts used are an absolute dream team spec. But the true praise goes to Pete himself for sticking through the rough and the smooth to make an awesome piece of kit. Well done mate.

As for the launch control, it rocks B) I really was not expecting the car to hook up and f**k off down the road like it did. I genuinely hurt my neck and remember thinking how odd it felt to be thrown back so hard that my feet left the floor and I had to rearrange the boys afterwards.

Imagine what it would be like in a classic :o
