Much prefer the autoglym range. whats everyone elses veiws? My views, for what they are worth are simple and frank: polishing cars is a waste of time! You bust your a55 for over 4 hours, it looks awesome, 2 days later it buckets with rain etc. and your back to square one. Granted, the reuslts are great and it protects your paint blah blah, but the time investments are huge, not to mention the effort. As for me and my Impreza, we just love driving. Regular hand washes of course and the odd polish are administered in non-freakish and non-fanatical measures.
corsa Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 The car polish that Asda do is fantastic, really gives a pleaseant shine to the scoob, will try and get a couple of pictures up just to let you see how shiny it is, and its o nly £1.49 for 5 litres!!!

oobster Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk They have some excellent guides and godo products - I use the Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection from them and I think it's excellent.
scoob fae ork Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Auto Glym Ultra deep shine on a black car is the only way to go [H]
john_mchutchison Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 must admit im a bit of a cleaning freak maself[:$] used to use autoglym high gloss polish till last week i tried meguars nxt gen polish, result was fantastic [] much better shine to the car now [H]. just my opinion.
mrbadger Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I use the Meguiars #82 and Professional Paste Wax #16
thewelsho Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Quote Pledge.....[]LOL! Oh that made me really laugh! Still laughing, nice one!
the blue dragon Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Mmmmmmmm.............where should i start? [] For a good everyday polish imho you cant beat Blackfire diamond, either all coat or gloss enhancing. For more serious work, a lot of the megs stuff that you cant get in the shops is good, ie #80 or #82. Point is tho, you have to follow up any polish with either a seal/glaze and or a good wax. Iain
marky.t.s Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 i was a bit like the Welsho myself,a wee wash to keep it clean once a week, but now for some reason i've started trying some of the products i've heard about on here every other week.At the moment i've been using Zymol Auto bathe, and Poorboys Nattys blue paste/wax,it goes on easy with a German applicator pad, buffs of easily not much dust ,(unlike the Auto Glym)crackin shine even after a dozen washes.Bought all my products from Polished Bliss online, arrived 24 hrs later.
dougster Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Some serious products listed here guys and all good. Cusco kid must be tefloned oot his auld nut here. Buy it at your peril. (IMHO)

oobster Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Tried Collonite 915 on the Mrs new car last night - first time I've used it and it seemed ok. It was starting to get dark as I was finishing up though, so I couldn't tell how shiny the car was. It wasn't that easy to come off though, but didn't leave any dust. Although that was probably the 1st time her car has seen any kind of product near it as it was a hire car before we bought it.
scoobyiain Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hand polish i would reccomend autoglym srp/egp Machine polish then menzerna or poorboys
