Another great SIDC track day event/TimeAttack @ Knockhill

Thanks to JohnS and everyone that organised today.

Thankfully the weather held out good for us and I feel a little hot lol.

Had a muppet overtake me at the last junction heading to knockhill he overtook on the wrong side of the road at the junction and he ended up going into knockhill!!!!!!!!  Thankfully wasnt a Subaru but still was a dangerous overtaking manouvre if something was coming the other way

Thanks to G Mac for taking my mate Stuart's son Sean out for a passenger lap today, he really enjoyed it and think he has the SIDC track day bug. Was trying to catch you JW but kept missing you

I'm sure they will be back with me at the next SIDC track day and I will post up the photos later but unfortunately didnt get any of the track day in the morning but a few in the afternoon.

It was good to zoom around in my PowerTrike and glad the battery lasted.

Sorry about that mate. Due to the red flag so late in the session, I ended up staying out  for the last 35 mins. Just did some cooling down laps on track. Next time.

Missed out today as I was waiting for a certain windscreen replacement company to turn up.  After 3 hours late I called and turned out they fecked up the appointment"  Not happy, but made them wave the excess fee from my insuance! []

Hope to make it up to the next session!

A good day bit blowy but it is knockhill, saw the red arrows on the way home again as well as over the track.

Good to put some more faces to names and drool over some great cars ( think everyone must've taken at least one photo of andyjdmsti's beast )

There was talk of more time attack tomorrow so i'll be heading up as i had to leave before it started today.

Bring on the next one and hopefully the car will be ready 4 the track.

Never made it in the end.........been shaking off some holiday induced bug [+o(]and thought I would be okay this morning but it was not to be. Sent a text to Grant & JohnS as I did not have Spooks's mobile number so hopefully someone got my slot on the stand...

Hi all it was good to catch up with most of you this afternoon []

 

As some of you know i had a few problems first thing this morning and i decided to play it safe and pull off track .

 

Hopefully it will be track (safe) for the next track day.

Also forgot to mention that I had a chat with Lesley from Total Impreza/Total Evo and she gave me an example of Total Evo to have a little look at as it will be along the lines of Total Impreza and looks very impressive.

Best day at Knockhill i have been to, although it could have done with the time attack being run on a non track day.

Gobstopper is just beyond words...............the way Ollie was getting it on full chat coming out of the hairpin in the wet was someting to behold!

Mr McRae has not lost his touch, even though he was in a car with a couple of hundred less ponies than most he still managed to show afew people up.

Good to chat to the old faces as per and some new ones too.

Glad everyone enjoyed the day - when I was approached and asked if Jimmy could take part in our track event as he hadn't drive the car before, it was always going to be difficult to say no []

Great to meet everyone again, and hope you can all make it up to Alford next Sunday for another great day out.

 Did anyone else get sunburnt, or was it just me ?

Superb day - really enjoyed the morning sessions trying to get to know the track and how best to set the car up for the action in the afternoon.

....... All of that went out the window with the rain but had a ball showboating []

Was meant to be leaving @ 4pm to head to the borders but got so involved I didnae leave until about 8pm[]

Had a great day myself, nice to meet some new faces as well as the usual suspects. Had a chat with engineer extraordinaire steve and his bro, very nice guys.

It's a pity there was such a delay between the trackday and the drift/time attack event as it could have finished much earlier. Felt sorry for the rcd boys though, they looked gutted, but the damage could have been a lot  worse.

 

Oh forgot to say to spooks and rosie, your new car is luvvery ... Can't wait to see it on track...[]
