ally-b Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Last meet I forgot (due to being eaten-alive by midges) to ask for suggestions for a route/destination for our next meet [:$]. Any Ideas ? Ideally it should be around 45min (1hr max) each way with parking at the destination for approx 25 cars . Al.
corsa Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Strathaven to Muirkirk road 26 times with parking at Kames[][H]
st3ph3n Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Seconded. But seriously, how about a run to the east of the city?
dougster Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Seconded but where the **** is Strathclyde? An East Glasgow run I would certainly condone at high speed..........
nanaki Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 The former district of strathclyde is made up of the following regions (or a good chunk of them anyway) Argyll and ButeAyrshireDunbartonshire GlasgowInverclydeLanakshireRenfrewshire Or I think that's them all. Anyway it still lives on due to joint areas such as police and fire brigade and scottish scoobies.

Who cares what you condone or not condone, why not sign up for the Mondeo Owners Club and leave us in peace to get on with running a very successful club http://www.fordmondeoownersclub.co.uk/
dougster Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Thanks for the link. Not got the Mondeo yet and still in the Ford Ranger XLT Thunder! Here's one in return....... http://www.weedfarmer.com/BB/
the squiggle Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Already a member of that one but i prefer www.everyonedoesit.com, much more informative and good prices tooooooo Another one for you www.fullofyourownselfimportance.com click on the annoying ex-social worker link for some topless action Back on topic Ally, You gong to the commercial venture known as the other SIDC tonight, have a suggestion for a run along under the Erskine Bridge or maybe Doon the Watter towards the tail o the bank then over the old Largs Rd for some closed roads WRC action round the loch. Maybe we hire a transporter to take the cars to Mallory Park in Leicestershire for a private testing session, the guy that owns the shop at the end of the road says his Uncle bought it for "a couple of donkeys and a pencil sharpener" and it would be cool for us to head down anytime.
G.T. Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 ally why not head down to largs vegas for a cone lots of nice roads to get you there from hillington
ally-b Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 ally why not head down to largs vegas for a cone lots of nice roads to get you there from hillington Quite a few have suggested that we go down and visit the Largonians . Parking is a problem though . We need around 25 places - Any ideas G ? Al.
Rednosespeccltd Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 there is a large car park on the front, you have to pay though. Also a free one at the Vikingar approx 500m along from the fery terminal. P.s Nardini's is shut so no famous ice cream anymore. What about down the A73 to the A702 Through Biggar and then on the back roads to Carnwrath then through Lanark and Wishy and back to Start point. Even the road to peebles is a cracker as well. Mac
