  1. Quality tv worth the liscence fee just for top gear
  2. Non adjustable but at the price i got them for can't complain [] Most breakers were asking silly money for high mileage stuff. Had a search but can't find the springs either. Car handles big bumps much better now but is still pretty hard and jittery and needs set up 2 be perfect but i'm surprised how little body role there is and i think it'll handle knockhill no probs.
  3. Struts are kyb with jrj springs, bought em off a guy on snet and they're only a couple o months old. ARB's are eibach and from the snet group buy, half price at £150 just got the whiteline stuff from revolution at the same time.
  4. NOW NOW NOW Wet wipes at the ready [] [:$]
  5. Spent a very reasonable 3.5 hours in the garage today fitting this lot What an improvement, back end now stays on the road when you hit a bump. Still pretty hard as they're KYB's with lowering springs but looking forward to a run up north now without the fear of bouncing off the road.
  6. Knut probably has a caravan too. wot a To$$er Imagine towing a caravan around [au] no one on here would be seen dead doing that i hope ! Eh gus [] Newage STI owned by a middle aged lawyer in gala and met a few older guys driving them round here but so many numptys seem to be able to run them nowadays Boy i work with has a mate teen/20's who ran his with different profile tyre back and front and tried to use fairy liquid for clutch fluid when he couldn't afford any []
  7. I can get a set for £210 delivered through ebay, not what i really need after just buying new shocks but im sure the clutch can wait.
  8. Its a proper smack ur head of the window job and the boost does jump so maybe a boost controller may be a good idea. Will check the coils at the weekend, where's the best place to get replacements ? take it second hand ones aint worth considering as they could easily be fecked too. Any recomendations on boost controllers as i know nothing about them. Steve
  9. Well done, must be getting old and mellow because shes a cutie [:$]
  10. Ask the Squirrel he kept me right on that front[Y] Gus ps cheers for the comments [] I'm off to the shops to buy some nuts and tempt him out [] As long as i get sorted for the RR day i'll be happy
  11. Only problem with a car that seems to have been so well cherished is your bound to feel a bit guilty caning the arse off it round knockhill or the likes [6] sounds nice though and wallet freindly 2 with new engine and warranty.
  12. Hmm i have no idea how many types of bolts there are but i must say "i smell SH**E" 2 weeks for an oil leak seems like its getting left unlooked at. May be totally wrong btw just my opinion.
  13. Not looked at the coils yet but i'll have a go this wekend as i'll be in the garage fitting my ARB's and droplinks, maybe even struts if they get here in time [] What should i be looking for with the maf as i believe there quite delicate and don't want to go poking where i shouldn't [] (always gets me in trubble LOL) Cheers Gus and ur chariot looks great in the F&M pics btw []
  14. Well had the chip and decat dp on a couple o weeks now but noticed when accelarating under full throttle it dies at 5 grand for a split second then pics up again and is fine, no probs in first and second and only doe it in 3rd or fifth when giving it everything but forth is the worst. If i give it 3/4 throttle its fine and boost gauge reads around the 1-1.1 but if i gun it and it misses it spikes to 1.3-1.4 Tried injector cleaner and cleaning the boost solenoid but no difference and the fuel pumps been changed to a 255 lph one so any ideas before i blow it up [:'(] Steve
  15. Biggest give away is it's red on the body but no the engine, also brakes, intercooler etc are all wrong. Hard to believe someone would try and pass it off as an STI
  16. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-SUBARU-IMPREZA-...1QQcmdZViewItem A serious lack of STi bits on this particular STi
  17. Crazy can't believe ur thinking of the next stage How much faster you wanna go ?
  18. Just what owning a scoobs about nice motor.
  19. Surely no Gus ?
  20. Exhaust went on last weekend but didn't get the chip on til yesterday and all i can say is ****in hell what a difference, wasn't sure at first but went for a run last night and the clutch was complaining due to the extra power, trick seems to be keep the revs up and turbo spinning and boy does it fly when you nail it [] Been fitting my brake stopper this morning as well as the vents so just the suspension left once i find some new shocks and get my other bits. Oh and a new clutch soon i think [] Will it ever end ? Even contemplated selling the bike and building a monster engine seeing as it's always bloody raining. Steve
  21. Fitted some standard vents instead of the mini scoops and just wondered what to do with the undertray on the induction side. Obviously it'll let more air to the filter if i omit it but i'm worried about the filter getting a soaking in this wonderful scottish summer. Already had the filter get damp a couple of times with the scoops and it runs like a bag o bolts til it drys out. Running a apexi induction kit btw. So have you removed yours or just left it standard ? Other option would be to drill some holes i suppose ? Steve
  22. Could be a proton i looks so bland. You'd think they'd learn and take heed of what people actually want after all it's our hard earrned bucks there after, i'm sure it will go and handle like a scoob should i can hardly wait to see what they think on top gear !
  23. It's fine martin, just done my downpipe at the weekend and the flanges were like that and held with spring bolts. Steve
  24. Was fitting the bigger intercooler much hassle ? The one on my V2 is tiny so could do with an upgrade. Steve
