The boots despoilered and holes filled but still needs painted but leaving it til i do the whole car. Thanks for all the comments, i just want to try and be a bit different and not as obvious but the clues are there if you know what to look for in the rear view mirror ! Not sure about the whole matt black idea but certainley not ruling it out as i hate polishing !!!
-
Try running it without the filter to see if it starts would confirm if thats the problem. Don't have a walbro but fitted my upgraded one with the original filter filter as it sat better in the tank. Steve

Its a jun splitter i think, came with the car. Andy rckons it should be around 370/380 bhp but not had it on the rollers but i believe him as its feckin quick
-
Like i said it was just an idea and it needs another coat as its reacted a bit with some of the stonechip putty but whatever colour its gonna stay scoopless and spoilerless as sleeper look is where i'm at.
-
None taken i realise there's many folk who can't understand a scoob without a spoiler etc but each to their own. I personally hate all the wanna be rally cars stickered to the hilt and just wanted to try something different.

I've been working @ a garage doing some holiday cover the last couple o weeks so had a chance to do a bit to the scoob Holes in the boot welded up and filled, bonnet changed and sprayed matt black 2 see how it looks ?!, front grill changed to match the lights and new bonnet as well as changing pads for DS2500's and a well deserved oil change Did most of it myself including the welding and some of the spraying (not the bonnet) and was pleasantley surprised as i've never tackled them before and managed not 2 feck it up ! Still planning a full respray later in the year so thought the black bonnet was worth a shot as its easy enough to change if i didn't like it but i think its kinda cool

I have a 95 STi with full decat 2.5" standard headers , apexi air intake, fmic, 20g, ecutex ecu,300zx maf, 97 map sensor, NGK PFR7B plugs, uprated fuel pump, 550cc injectors. Cars still running strong but im going to be giving it a freshen up and was thinking of future upgrades and was wondering if a 2.5 would be the way to go rather the a forged re build ? What else would be required apart from the standard block ? Any idea of costs involved ? Where best to source an engine ? I would carry out fitting myself as i'm working @ a garage now and then so have access to everything i'd need. Steve

I changed my pump not so long ago and split the old one as the tank was in btr nick and there was just an o ring between the 2 which is worth a try. Mine was from a 93 1.8 gl and i have a 95 STi and it cost £35 from the local scrappy only difference is the shape of the reservoir as some are square and some round.

Bought mine SH from a guy on here but as with anything SH its a gamble i guess but @ least on a forum its harder to be a rogue unlike fleabay etc
-
Yes, yes and yes. I always try and warm it up and try not to thrash it 2 much and don't go for full power standing starts etc I'm sure the turbos capable of more but think anything else would need an upgrade or ten.
-
I run a 20g and get around 370/380 bhp with a FMIC, full decat 550cc injectors etc Had no complaints and plaenty of grins and doesn't take 2 long to get going at all.

Was discussing skylines the other day and what all the fuss is about as generally they look a bit bland (IMHO) but thats one hell of a nice car and with the power 2 match by the looks of it.

Why turn a scoob into an evo ?
-
Shows just how long i aint been around as i didn't know u had it til the other day. A white classic's hard 2 beat but i may b slightly biased I just want 2 know where you keep finding these minted scoobs ?
-
Not normally a fan of that much white but it looks very tidy indeed hoping mine will look that good by the end o the year
-
It is stunning, never driven one and they never sound the same but nothing ventured nothing gained and it is awesome !

Well was working @ a garage last week so changed the power steering pump on the scoob but discovered i'm needing 4 new tyres, a couple o strut top mounts and some front brakes in the not 2 distant future plus the exhaust split again on the way home so bought a new one from 2fast2cool, £200 delivered for a 1 piece system that joins the DP. Fitted no bother in 10 mins but oh dear its rather quiet in fact i kept hitting the rev limiter on the way home as i could hardly hear it over wind noise and my tunes . Never mind @ least its a job off the list next is some bodywork !!!!!! You still with dingbro Frank ? And what r u upto ? GTB what you running nowadays ?
-
Are DS2500's available for front wilwood 6 pots ?
-
Just thought i'd stick my neb in and say hello. Still have the scoob although her indoors uses it more than me nowadays, kinda lost interest but had her @ the garage fixing power steering this week and am considering tarting the old gal up a bit with a new panel or 2 a bit o filler and a splash o paint. Won't be overnight as works a bit of whatever i get nowadays so funds are tight but seeing as things aint selling for much may as well keep it and have some fun. Hope all the faces old and new are well and not scoobless. Steve

1 question simon..... Do you need to suppy andy with adult nappies when he's mapping ? There wasn't anyone not grinning after last years rr day so im sure you'll be the cause of many sleepless nights and maxed out cc's with all us mortals trying to keep up !
-
And that means we’re almost certainly talking about a person who breathes through his mouth and has short legs, no forehead and one, possibly lacerated, eye. Think he must of been to a club meeting
