Just out of interest, what pressures were you using on both?
Have been running 32F and 34R on the Bridgestones which feels right.. DOn't like them any lower than that and I heard the sidwalls ont eh TOyo's are more squishy, despite claiming to be re-enfornced
34F 30R TOYO'S RE070 32F 28R
-
Got toyo T1r's on the Sti good tyre's.It was just trying to get the tyre pressures right after coming from the RE070 with the stiff tyre wall
-
All you need Keira is the short sports cat pipe coming directly from the turbo
Thats a newage wrx exhaust system .classic is only three piece system downpipe, center, back box.Its either refit the catted downpipe or like every body has mentioned a made up double catted centre section for mot

Eibach and Prodrives are very similar with the prodrives beign made to a slightly different specification, slightly better comfort and stiffness, but there's very little (if any) difference in ride height between the two.. AFAIK
I've got the prodrives on my bug and it's a BIG difference over standard.. But they wear our the shocks a fair bit quicker.. Looking at getting a set of BC coilovers at somepoint rather than replace the shocks.. (again)
Only thing about the prodrive springs is that I managed to break one within the first year but easily replaced with no fuss from dealer.. Must have been a one off as it's unheardof for these springs to break and it wasn't a usual place it split..
BTW - Minor thread hi-jack.. Now that a couple years have passed since people started using BC Coilovers, anyone had any issues with them? Anyones needed replacing/reconditioned ? If the'll need replaced every couple years I'd rather stick with replacing standard shocks every year.. It'd work out cheaper
http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/accessories.asp .Bc keep spares in stock

Smao1 .I sent you a billy goat
-
So are getting 1/2 drive impact socket set and a long 1/2 drive bar
-
JW you will get the same answer like i did if you email them. When i sent tein a email 5 to 6 weeks for repair for that length of time must end up back in Japan .I asked what it costs to repair .They said don't know till they strip it down .Then you get a price .Smao1 what i just typed thats the reply i got from tein uk .I went and bought Bc coilovers from the main dealer Apex performance
-
Did Awd get the bolt out
-
I had the blow torch out too
The rears just got stripped both sides in 15 minutes no problems at all
You had the blow torch out .Did you heat the bracket were bolt is going in i hope and not the bolt it self .
-
When are you getting prodrive underpants the owner will put p p p on them
-
Aaaahhhh having a complete nightmare getting the caliper bolts out and now 1 is rounded on me :brickwall:
Chris better to use single hex sockets better grip on bolt head or nuts and take it easy with metal and alu the alu powder making the bolt harder to trun .If the bolts tight coming out work it back and forward and spray wd40 on it aswell and take it easy .When building it back up copper slip on the bolt .

What material is the desk made of ?
When drilling into metal i would use a center punch and this would help stop the drill from slipping when first starting to drill.
As above plus water or cutting oil for metal only and a file for removing the ragged edges or use a dremmel with buffing head this is for metal .

i'v no car tomorrow its going into chips away it has gained a scratch on the front bumper from some in tesco's with a trolley and yes i was parked away in a corner away fro everyone taking up 2 spaces and i still get a scratch
Which tesco's was that the one on the kingsaway or riverside .I always go to the kingsway and park it all on its own across from piza hut .Can't people operate trolleys without hitting peoples car's

Dont worrk about that i will be polishing and re sealing the alloys while they are off
They are very dirty just now not been washed for over a week
Can you sleep at night that you have not washed your wheels for a week
-
Watch you will get your wheels dirty if you brake to hard with you and your detailing but nice brake set you will have when fitted
-
now im confused lol
engine bay bottom pic is a bug eye only used to show coolant tank diffrences
the pic of the sti with the silver wheels is of the car im hoping to view,i take it is the 05 spec
many thanks ps i do like it aswell with silver wheels
Yes its a 05 spec .Subaru changed the coolant tank on the uk Sti don't know why and you have A-DCCD .Auto and manual with the Dccd
-
pre MY05 STi's are 100pcd but I'm pretty sure post MY05 WRX & GX's remained 100... I know mine did
The Sti My05 with the flared rear body arches is 114.3 pcd what R1ynb is looking at buying. The wrx is 100pcd .You don't see many silver alloys that style normaly gold
-
I am sure the bottom picture is a bugeye ie cover over solenoid valve driver side strut and there is no sign of brackets for holding blobeye head light in
-
R1ynb its weird the Jdm Sti still comes with the metal/alu coolant tank
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/front_website...ry.php?id=17883 .Here what my engine bay looks like see still the metal/alu coolant tank mines not as clean as that
