  1. Rear shocks have gone on Her 06 wagon. I know some folks have suggested it's a dodgy design but I'm not getting anywhere with an out of warranty settlement.

Subaru want £800 for a pair and they are not available anywhere else!

I've looked at replacement coilovers (AP from £600 for all 4) but I don't want to drop the ride height or firm up the ride too much for Her. Tein seem to be a similar price.

Anyone any experience with the above or similar set-up for a similar price? Could I keep the original springs & use them with new shocks from a coilover set?

    Thanks, Mark.

http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/ .Give bc a call they should be able to tell you what spring rate the subaru springs are and you just adjusts the coilovers the same height as standard .I had tein coilovers on the 05 Jdm impreza Sti after two years and just over 9k miles the rear passenger side started to leak and i was not sending a shock away for six weeks and tein could not give me a rough idea of cost so bought a set of bc coilovers for the impreza i mentioned.Kevin

  2. Well as a some of you already know I've had my eye on a certain car for a wee while now. Today I finally got my filthy mits on it! I did enjoy my uk turbo 2000 but it was only ever a stop gap until I found another type r or type ra. It will be staying standard(ish) for now but I do have a few parts up my sleeve/in the cupboard to be fitted in the future.

    Here's some piccies.

Just want to also say a massive thanks to Wuz for having it road ready before departure and also to thank duncATR for keeping him awake/helping out. I'm delighted with the car and I've only driven it home!!

    :D;):)

Very nice and is that Wuz's car in the garage godzuki????

  3. I did the plugs myself easy to do every body makes out its a hard job .I let the garage do the gearbox and oil change if i had the use of a ramp i would do it myself but watching the mechanic drain the gearbox and diff oil is easy and filling up the diff is easy and the gearbox is a bit of a pain with the size of the Sti intercooler it covers the gearbox dipstick and there is not alot of room to get at it
