  1. I think i have solved boost problem ie i cleaned breathers with carb cleaner pipes were a bit oily so its holding boost better now . Sortted the boost drop with drilling restrictor to 1.2 . but i put it back down to 1mm with tapping ends with hammer a bit rough but it works this increased boost back to were it was .So happy now i hope it lasts

  2. Would cleaning the engine breathers help with boost solenoid problems like eratic boost it reaches boost target higher in rev range ie 3 4 5 then start flicking back and forward . I have cleaned pipes attached to boost soleniod ie fill with carb cleaner then have taken for a run cured for couple of weeks then starts again.I phoned ecutek up spoke about problem he said drill restrictor in pipe

  7. I have been to awd .they plugged in the select monitor looked at the information reset ecu went for a run came back did the same test no faults so maf allright plus new idle control valve costs 237pound including vat and sidc discount for my2000

  8. Hello drb5 .I have a jr panel filter i no about the maf sensor on these years i am on my third maybe fourth. The problem then was wouldn,t rev above 3k shake like a bag bolts going above mentioned revs .so off to awd on saturday for check

  9. I have just fitted an icv easy to fit valve and the car revved to 3k (without my foot on the accelerator) then the rev counter went down after taking the car for a run .I thought the revs would sit at 1500 when this new part was fitted but it didn?t must be a temperamental car. I took icv out of the box and the plunger was in the inward position so I turned the ignition on and off a few times then took the car for a run from my garage to house and back again. The idle dropped to normal, but when you turn the ignition to start from hot the revs rise to 1500 and then it drops back to normal i.e. 800revs. I did exactly what the suggested on SIDC website said to do when the MAF stalls i.e. if cold take off the multi plug. When hot I have unplugged the MAF and the engine is still running. The car still runs but the car is going in to AWD on Saturday for select monitor check to see if the MAF?s working okay.

This maybe a bit long but any ideas or suggestion would be helpful.
