Welcome aboard mate . [] Al

Davie , they are the droplinks I have on mine [] Highly recommended mate [Y] Bit o' bun to fit and a great improvement for not a lot of cash , well worth it IMHO [] Al.

To echo what Wilky said : "What we do good, no one remembers, what we do bad, no one forgets." (Sonny Barger H.A.Oakland.) I personally ,have had a lot of good work done by Greersport . In-fact they really helped me out by lending me parts once a couple of days before Andy-F mapped my car , when a clown on Scoobynet tried to rip me off by not sending an intercooler I had bought , but that is another story . I would love to have time to do all work on my car . I am more than able , being an engineer to trade and having worked as a motorcycle mechanic for a bit too . I have built choppers , classic British bikes , drag bikes , classic MG cars , Landrover V8 as well as lots of other stuff . But circumstances change , and these days I have neither the time or facilities to do my own work. I am fussy about who works on my car , and Greersport and Andy Forrest are the only ones I trust . I am in no way connected with Greersport - in case anyone thinks this is an advert , but I think it a shame that out of loads of happy punters , one or two unhappy ones can blacken their good name . I'll certainly keep using them , and I'm sure I'll still meet lots of you guys when I'm down there . All IMHO of course , Al.

Happy birthday Davie [<)] Al.

Just use Dastek (Dalgetty bay) or Star ( Kirkcaldy) They are well proven by the Scooby guys . AVA seem to be Ok with the fast-ford guys . . . . . . [8-)] Star and Dastek are not too far away if you think about it . . . Al.

Splendid find mate [Y] Purely for research purposes of course [] Al.

'kin'ell Chris [] That is one scarey story . You were extremely lucky/fortunate that you didn't have a bump or get a ticket . Al. PS Are you selling your telly in the 'for-sale' section 'cos you don't have a licence for it either ? [] []
-

A 360 degree neck , like an owl , helps , as does universal-joints on your wrists [] []Al.

Another good link Ac!D [Y] Also check ebay B . [] There are quite a few places selling them . Only thing was , I found that it cost as much again to get them painted .[] Al.
-
I got mine from http://www.jdltuning.com/ it came from Poland , but it is well made and a good fit . www.drmotorsport.com are also worth checking out . HTH, Al.

I laughed when an old guy at work said . . . "she has a face like a painters radio" lol , I thought I'd heard them all [] Al.
-
I'll try to head through again Paul . I enjoyed the last one I was at - even though Wilky got there before the Glasgow posse in his '22b' [^o)] - Gumball , Fai-17 , G.Mac and I were all doing the half-hour in twenty-minutes too [] [] Al.

Nice looking ones on ebay at the moment mate , I'm not sure about the make though , but if you get a good buy they are worth a go . I have EBC dimpled and grooved at the front - look pretty but they are no better than standard ones IMHO. BUT . . . I think that fade etc is really down to the pads mate . [] I have still to find 'the perfect brake pad' [] I currently use EBC redstuff but they are not great . I liked Greenstuff but they don't like trackdays. Do a search 'cos there are loads of different opinions on pads . Al.
-
Yip , why , are you needing discs ? Leading question BTW [] Al.

Anyone into dodgems and (ahem !) 'big-bumpers' might like to know that Knockhill has a Hot-Hatch day on Sunday with Miss Jody Marsh as special guest . Unfortunately (thankfully !) I'm working that day so I'll not be there , but if anyone from here is going . . . . bring back photos [] . . . of the cars of course [] Al.
-
bigdavie showed us the paintjob that bodyworx did on his at the Glasgow meet ,and it looked brilliant . If it ain't too far for you , I'd seriously consider them if I were you . Just don't let Davies good-lady drive your car afterwords [] Al.
-
Thanks for the thanks Davie .[:$] I'm no expert , but I've owned a '99 and a '00 so I know most of the things to look out for with them [] I'm glad my diagnosis was correct and maybe saved you a few quid. Scottish-scoobies guys are generally a good bunch , and we all try to help each other out with the benefit of our own hard-earned lessons . We all know a little , which put together is a LOT of knowledge . Good to see you last night at the Glasgow meet and I hope we'll see you again at the meets [Y] ATB, Al.
