  3. would be more desirable with the oe bonnet scoop and rear spoiler imho, really dont like the classics with the big scoops and bigger rear spoilers, just looks wrong, but nice car

I have the standard scoop and spoiler

I'll probably fit them to sell the car.

Oh , and it has APS cold-air kit , full TSL gpN exhaust , Andy-F TD04 hybrid turbo , STI5 intercooler , STI carbon strut-brace , alloy drop-links and other mods I've probably forgotten.

    Mapped by Andy-F.

DBM is dark blue mica .

  5. I've bought another car and I want/need to sell my scoob .

    What is the going rate for '00 UK Turbo , DBM , various mods , A.Forrest mapped , spare x4 wheels/tyres , 87000mls ?

Where is best place to sell it ? (seems a bit slow on the 'for-sale' section here) and how much ?

Anyone want to buy it ?

(I'll get full spec and spare/original parts list for anyone interested ? )

  6. just in the last week started to notice bit of smoke on idle then a bit of a puff of smoke when i pull away after been stuck in traffic, spoke to the garage and they said sounds like turbo oil seals, will either need sending away for refurb or i can upgrade, car is a my00 uk turbo, only done 53k, looks like im going to bite the bullet and go for an andy forrest hybrid tdo4, not what i needed just now as skint as just paid for my summer hols, car gets driven so gently as well, just one of those things i suppose. gutted.

My MY2000 UK turbo sometimes does the same (smoking at idle then a bit when pulling away which then clears) doesn't appear to use any oil.

I'm not sure if mine is oil smoke or rich mixture , I'm thinking it could maybe be faulty MAF of maybe dirty airfilter(APS CAI + K&N)

I'm interested to know the cause but I'm working away and not had time to check it over so I'm watching this thread for ideas B)

My turbo is Andy-F TD-04 hybrid - any idea how much for Andy to refurb it if it is the seals ?

    Cheers,

    Al

  7. I am now a supplying agent for Toyo

I'll be needing a set of 4 once I get my gold P1 17s refurbed (end of June - when I get back from another month in Czech republic)- send a goat with a quote mate :D

    Cheers ,

  8. I always use Tesco 99 too, I used to use V power but mine really does feel a lot smoother with T99. It used to splutter sometimes with V Power. Also my knock level meter tends to flutter a bit with V Power but never moves using Tesco 99. B)

I've used either Tescos 99 or V-Power for a few years now and not noticed much difference to be honest.

Now that you mention it though , having run the jalopy on Tescos for the last week or 2 , it does seem to be pulling rather well ....

  9. While up there it would be crazy not to visit here........

At the last Glasgow meet we were nattering about this very subject and Squiggle suggested Applecross as a destination , with 'that road' being good reason - I pointed out that bookings for the hotel or campsite would have to be booked well in advance as it is a tiny (P.O. + inn) village and the campsite is very popular with climbers, hikers, cyclists, bikers + tourists all year round.

The roads are second-to-none , traffic minimal , scenery exceptional ... scooby-juice might be hard to find though - but no worse than Skye ! lol

    Discuss . . . .

  11. I am delighted to announce that the Glasgow/Strathclyde region has a new R.O.

I hope you will all give STI Pretender (Robert) as much help and support as you gave me, and keep Glasgow/Strathclyde Region going from strength to strength.

I'm sure everyone that knows Robert will agree that he has done some great work for the club including lots of stuff 'behind the scenes' - sourcing stickers and hats for Santa Cruise , even donning the Santa suit to distribute our gifts to the kids at Yorkhill .

He has been a stalwart , rarely missing a meeting and is a great supporter of all our club events.

I'm sure he will do an excellent job as RO.

    Al.
