Let me explain to everyone about this...... While you were all having 'scooby vs scooby' fun up the M74, we (Me, Zeolite and Higgy) were twisting our way north of Moffat on some GREAT roads.. Higgy in 1st position, Zeolite 2nd and then Me at the end. As we left Moffat, a dark blue Mk1 Clio came screaming up behind me. My initial reaction was to drop it a gear and leave 'the wee ned for dead' when we got to the 60-limit..... So as we left Moffat the speed increased and I attempted to leave the Clio behind........................ He wasnt the tiny speck in my mirror I expected, I had pulled 4-5 car lengths on him, as we were going through the bends he was all over me....... and I'm not shy at tackling roads I dont know at 110%!! He even tried to overtake me at one point.. the cheeky wee fooker.. but fair enough he pushed his car to the absolute limit, and it shows that you dont need big power if you know the roads and have a certain amount of ability!! Was glad I got an opening to pass you Ian, I thought it only fair that you got some banter from him too..... Cheers, Grant

I had to go to this, after being at Loch Lomond in my old Scoob, I wanted to see how the wagon compared to other Scoobs. Was very proud when the guy in the Black Type-R with a PowerFC told me he thought my car was very very quick after I'd followed him as part of the 'Top 5' on the trip after lunch. Cheers, Grant

It is an Auto, which IMO will bring the price down..... and from the pics, the leather doesnt look too 'leather-ish' to me. But for 5k, its cheap if everything checks out on HPi etc and I suppose you could buy it, and go straight into a Subaru Dealer and ask them to buy it off you. They may offer 7k, but they dont know you paid 2k less than that for the car. Either that or stick it in Autotrader for 3-4k less than an equivalent WRX manual and sell the fooker on there. Dunno, maybe I'm just too gullable............. but I would be tempted to check this out further. Cheers, Grant

Thankyou to Grant and Imy for organising such a great route, with awesome roads, regular stops and lovely scenery......... I never caught much of the surrounding views to be honest, was too busy trying to keep up with you mad bassas!! I was in the Blue 98 Wagon - A** LKJ.... Ended up right up with the front runners on the final leg after lunch, had great fun keeping up with the Black V5 Type-R, White WRX/STi? with Brembos (soz mate, didnt catch your name), Coulty & The Squirrel.. You guys are nuts, but I loved it!! Was definitely the most stick I've given the car since I've had it... and I was well impressed!! Thanks also to Higgy, that voucher was very helpful.... Cheers to Zeolite for taking us somewhere nice for tea. Also glad we tagged along on the run home so we didnt get lost a'la the Loch Lomond Run. FAO - The Swig, lol, are you able to send me some of that footage that you got of my car mate?? Specially if there are any bits where you caught me popping flames.... I had a knock at the door 15 mins ago from the local 5/0..... an elderly couple had reported that I have been fixing my car under their street light for the past 2 weeks. After I thanked them for calling so late.. I told the officers that I had been on a training course in Wigan for the past fortnight and that tonight was the first time I'd started the Impreza for a while. I also pointed out that I have a main operated hand held light, a garage with 5 strip lights in it.......... and even if I didnt have those, I could use my own street lights if I wanted to fix my car. Jason, my mate Benn used to get a fair bit of un-due hassle from the Police out that way.. he lives in Monikie, drives a black Civic. I got a visit for the same thing, all I told the officers was that I couldnt be sure who it was behind me, and why they were behind me....... my car is desireable to most un-desireables, so I was merely trying to get away from them to reduce the risk to me and my property. Just wondering if its applied in the same way you apply normal wax/polish..... Get it on the cloth, sideways sweeps without too much pressure, and buff away. Obviously applying a wax after the car is done. Car has a few wee scuffs, etc at the moment and I'm looking to cut the paint back a tiny bit before spending a wee while waxing the thing!! This is a general question about my Impreza. Its a MY98, and we're currently trying to fit a Digital A/F Meter to it. We've found the earth and ignition source, and mounted the actual gauge in a temporary position until I spray my pillar pod. There are 3 wires on the Lambda Sensor, 2 white and a black, what we are unsure of is which wire to attach the wire from the gauge to. We think its one of the white ones, but which one we dont know!? Urgent help please!!!!! Cheers, Grant
