Had some lads in a probe pull up beside me telling me to "give it some". Sadly my zorst ain't much cop at the minute was going to send them your way but couldn't see you at the time. Should I have felt my pedals and internal organs moving when I was behind you?[][]

Dash pocket was about £15 from stereo shop. Its am autoleads one in mine, but itts black, not silver. Little round thing in the dashboard? Is it in the middle up by th windscreen, if it is I think its part of the temperature sensor. Previous owner of my car had a snooper, I've still got the wire coming through by the windscreen, don't know if it just pushes through, can't see any holes but then haven't looked too hard. Will have alook tomorrow for you. If it's going on the a pillar, where do the people who have gauges up there put their wires through, is there a small gap at the base?

Gutted for you mate, but hopefully it means you'll get a quicker payout. Hope you find another one soon.

KentScoobies meet Friday 16th June @ The Wharf

Just been out, plastic sill bits just unclip with one screw or plug at the front. Could then see my amp wires under the carpet. I'm only running a sub in the boot, don't know how difficult it would be to run wires from the body of the car to the doors, assuming you're doing it as one complete piece of cable and not cutting into the stuff subaru put in. -

Try www.chiark.com, very useful site. Also to get some decent depth front speakers in the front door some corsa spacers form halfords do the job (a little ingenuity needed but not much). Managed to get my stereo out, wire in the amp at the back and put it all back in about 15 minutes first time. Hope the cars alright when you get it back. When mine went in they had it for two weeks, (I was on holiday so wasn't bothered) thought that would be plenty of time. Then 13 days in I get a phonecall, where's the locking wheel nut spanner......I needed a wing, surely they'd had the wheel off by now!!!!!? No, apparently when valeting the car they like to put the shiny tyre stuff on the inside of the tyres too and that's why they needed to take the wheel off!!!!!! As you say FFS. Wonder why insurance premiums keep rising[:@] Again, hope you're happy with it Just thought your's might be an 05, so http://www.ehgp.com/public/impreza_my05_hu_removal/ worth a look too Thanks for that I had Chiark's stuff printed but the 05 site makes it look easy (easier!) i ordered the subaru spacers and ISO kit and some new wiring - if you've done an amp how do you get the wires to and from the boot? Probably a simple thing but i am simple so there!! Cheers Trevor Let a pro do that, but looks like they took out the plastic bits on the sills to get under the carpet (haven't looked on this one but previous cars these were only clipped in, or a screw at each end and clips) and they took out the rear bit of the seat you sit on and passed the cables under the bit you lean on. Grommet used to go from the engine bay was the one in the passenger footwell(for the power cable) Having run the power cable, switch cable and rca leads to the back of the car looks like they then forgot to wire it in to the back of the stereo!!!!!! That's the bit I did. Most important parts are to make sure the power cable off the battery has a suitable fuse near the battery, and any cable you pass through metal has a grommet to prevent rubbing and earthing. Would try it myself next time, just didn't want to break anything on my new scoob. -
I'm just going out to get some diet coke & a tube of mentos

Not the m25 for me, I was on the central line last night(fortunately I didn't have to walk down the track, just sit on the train)[:@] missed the game completely, walked in the pub as it finished[:@] -
One of "them lot"(I think), St Vincents road, friday 3.45ish. Blue bugeye yellow stickers

Just read those links, seems to be a little heated and I've come away feeling a bit anti bike[]. Will feel better in the morning, have seen some kick out at passing cars, dont want a dent in the scoob. May make a point of moving over for them tomorrow. Think I'll stick to these forums, seem friendlier[]

Yep, there are loads. You could try scoobyworld, dr motorsport, or japperformanceparts.co.uk, see the trip up there this sunday[Y]. Never changed the spoiler on my classic, but I would imagine if you were to go for something like a P1,sti5,sti6 they all have a base to them (I think!) so you may need to drill a few extra holes, but would be worth it. Just make sure you seal them up properly afterwards. I went for a genuine second hand sti8 spoiler from japperformanceparts for my newage, a little bit cheaper than a new copy painted, but a used part. www.scoobyworld.co.uk www.drmotorsport.co.uk www.japperformanceparts.co.uk

Boost should be from -7to-10'ish psi when idling/foot of gas in gear, to about +15psi on boost. On a conversion of 1bar to15psi. Can't help with the others, sorry.
-
Very sorry to hear that. Glad you're in one piece, you can always get another scoob, if it has been "wiped out". Good luck with it all

Had a car once where the heat shield rattled from about 2.5k to 3.5k revs, just as the turbo cut in. Thought things were going to be really expensive, then realised it was just the heat shield!!!! Went to local exhaust place and they took it off for me. Intended to refit a new one but never got round to it. Might just need tightening up, mine was only held on by two very flimsy strips of metal, one of which had rusted through, hence the vibration. I'd say first stop exhaust/tyre place.

Nice one mate.[Y]

http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/659962/ShowPost.aspx It seems the pocket is also held in with tape as well as the two screws, and two clips either side of the vents. As I said I failed, but peeps are saying that once you break the adhesive it comes out easier. Might some heat on it help with this(hairdryer, melt the glue a bit)? Be careful with the prising it out bit. My dashboard was quite spongy and tried to crease as soon as I applied any pressure, creases took about two months to finally go. Good luck!
-
Couldn't get mine out of my classic. Was told take out the screws either side and pull!!!! Didn't fancy breaking a finger by pulling on the latch, so wrapped some string round it and tried that. String snapped, nearly punched myself in the face, pocket hardly budged[:@]. Did find a website showing pics of what it looks like out, will have another look for you.
-
Managed to miss the first bit[:@] What time did it do on the track, assuming stig took it round?
-
Sorry to hear that mate, eyes peeled
