  1. Is the cambelt due at different times on a classic or newage scoob then. Its just that had one garage insistent that mine should be done at 60000, when i'm sure it had been done at 45000. Could it be they were thinking about a newage?
  2. Take it the battery's ok?
  3. Did the Kent Scoobies rolling road session ever go ahead at SVA? >> Yep, theres a thread on here somewhere
  4. Haven't seen one of these units but stereos tend to come in set sizes, 1/2 DIN, DIN, 1/4 DIN for some equalizers. Tend to be bigger than "normal" stereos nowadays so manufacturers can get the sat nav screens in more easily. You'll probably find that once you get it out there'll be a bracket that will accommodate a standard unit and a blanking plate, or processor....
  5. Don't know if anyones meeting at the bp at the medway tunnel, or going down the bypass but best take it easy on the speed front just been through myselfseriously. I'd hate to have anybodys day spoiled seeing as its charity an all. Hope you all have a good day, nice weather for it
  6. Blue newage going down frindsbury hill last night 7ish, rally graphics aplenty
  7. Got a prodrive b/box. Very solid and clean on the outside. Was on the car for about 40000 miles. You can hear a bit of noise from the baffles if you boot it with the rear passenger window open and your passing a truck or have a wall on your left, or in a tunnel but you may like that. Was going to stick it on ebay and see what it went for so haven't thought of a price. Will attempt to turn my pm on....
  8. MOT fail lists, if you've ever had one provide a fairly good list of things to look for as thats what they check for the MOT but wont help as far as engine noises/smoke are concerned. Went to see what was about the other week at garages/import centres. Not saying the cars psychic or has some sort of personality but came back with the boost gauge hose blown apart, a crack in the intake hose and a nail in my rear tyre all on a 30 mlie journey. Could it be trying to tell me something? All sorted now. Good luck with the car, hope its a good and take your time always handy to see/drive more than one for comparison and theres plenty out there
  9. Just had to clear ice off the car for the first time this year, not impressedStill, airs nice and cold for the engine so its not all bad. As an added bonus I left the car running while I cleared the windows so it was nice and warm when I got in, and I'm expecting thank you notes from all my neighbours as this would have ensured that they were also awake early and not late for work.
  10. Always get mine from RM Tyres by the medway tunnel, can get in most makes if you ask
  11. HDC Subaru could help, dont know if they are open weekends, but of the breakers I've tried e-mailing they are the only ones who got back to me, next day too! www.hdcsubaru.com
  12. Mentioned i'd been to a rolling road and there'd been a bit of smoke from the engine which went once they'd turned on the extractor fans for the exhaust! Seemed to think it was just that so didn't get them to check it too closely. Did read somewhere that if you get a bit of smoke from the oil seals the remedy is to remove the blockage, then check again. Still driving withmy fingers crossed
  13. Had mine fitted today, v. nice. Surprised at the amount of noise you get, not as much as the induction kit i had taken off, like it Buy one
  14. I decided on the service about a month ago but then put spark plugs and refitting of the airbox on top this morning and the final price was only the cost of the spark plugs over the quote(ish), so happy with that. Dartford tunnel, worked in Brentwood for about two years so had to go through everyday but only put on a "tunnel worthy" zorst after I left and I now work this side, have to settle for the medway tunnel now, although I might have opened it up a bit this morning to get the full effect, there was only me and another truck in there at the time
  15. Just got back from xtreme scoobies having had my car serviced by them (and a few other bits) for the first time and feel I have to say top bunch of people. Very happy with the car and the bill was cinsiderably less than I expected! Worth the miles and getting up at stupid o'clock this morning
  16. Theres a company called techniclutch in jap performance listing a clutch for scooby at £152, obviously not fitted but its a standard clutch not paddle or organic that are normally listed. No idea if they are any good but may be worth a look, www.technclutch.com
  17. Think I spotted Pele going the other way to me on the Wainscott bypass the day of the Kent show but I'd estimate the closing speed to be about 200mph so not entirely sure
  18. Super plus at 92.9 Sainsburys A2 Pepper Hill, I know it aint optimax but its got to be better than ordinary unleaded?
  19. Typical. Having thought about it for a couple of weeks ordered mine on friday. Should have checked here first, usually do
  20. Having had my engine bay mocked for being a little grubby at the recent rolling road day I have now bought and used a can of this stuff and gotta say its pretty good. I can now see the difference between metal, plastic and painted/coloured parts of the engine and have even found out where certain components are as I can now see them Have only used the one can so far but am worried this could get addictive!!! Good stuff minimal effort with top results.
  21. White classic heading towards medway tunnel from gillingham this afternoon, red mudflaps
  22. Sure they were going to charge me £100+ (was a few years ago), sounds like a good deal m8. Made a difference?

  24. Meant to say it was good to meet some people and sorry to hear about the points/fine leon
  25. 271bhp 265lb/ft. Just got to save up for a new turbo now will have to see how long it holds together. Would the fact the extraction fans weren't turned on on the first run (the smokier of the two) have contributed do you think?
