Having a trailor for events and not using it is like having a dog and barking yourself. If a car has an mot it is road legal. Where track cars dont have to be road legal, I imagine thats why all the big events like scooby shoot out ect require all cars to have an mot just so that there is a common ground to work from, the rest is history!!! Grant at AWD makes the dailey round trip to and from work of 40 odd miles in either one of his scoobys, Andy N also comutes to and fro work in his. Paddy

Andy my post on this topic are my own personal opinions also and do not represent AWD, ill say to you what I have said before, why dont you come along to AWD whether it be an open day or just in the passing, meet the guys have a chat. Ive tryed to add a bit of humour in to one of my replys but I see that has went down well lol, No offence was intended. Addison im sure AWD would welcome your response on what exactly went wrong for you at the open day call them or send a P/M via any of the AWD team on here if you dont want to post on this thread again. Come along to the next one ton246 and meet the lads, right friendly bunch and will help out where they can, Its very hard to organise for an event such as this, and to be honest id say it was well organised and staffing levels were optimum, These events are a social oportunity for many people and not all about sales sales sales for AWD, thats why there is no workshop open on the day, but the odd dumpvalve slips through the net for fitting, and the rest of the efforts from the tec's are spend on diagnostic work. Advance bookings for servicing, parts and performance packages can be made on the day at the sales counter, however you have to make yourself know to the apropriate staff or other staff who will point you in the right direction. Is this a wind up? Pocket full of money and a list of mods and nobody spoke to you? Apoligies if that was the case, all the AWD lads were out and about mingling today myself included, carrying out free diagnostics for sidc members and genrall chat, it was a great day with one of the bigest turn outs for the first open day of the year. With totall impreza magazine getting some great shots of punters cars for the next edition. Did you introduce yourself to Grant, Andy or any of the tecs? or indeed any of the fellow owners All the lads I know from SIDC are a great bunch and welcome new owners with open arms, Come along to the next one and make yourself know Cheers Paddy

Yh it is worth a look, the only problem being that he said it is keeped in a secure car park, centre of Glasgow, it has no tax and is not insured, so a test drive is out of the window unless i foot the bill to get a days cover note and tax the car so i can take it for a drive. a lot of dicking about and theres no where there to test drive the car proberly and check it over, the other thing i didnt like was the story of it having only one set of keys, very common for cars to disapeare after you buy them with only one set of keys, The wife has told me to give it a wide swerve, however i thought id do some reserch in to it ect, i emailed him and said get the car legal and meet me somwhere where i can check it over and test drive it properly and surpise surpise i have had no response, In previous emails he said "its legal enough for you to drive it round the car park" lol like it buy it after driving it round a car park. Anyway if he gets back to me fair enough if not probs rumbled a scam of some sort Paddy

I think the car was advertised on pistonheads just after christmas then removed after a few weeks, The guy may be genuine and here is the only other pics he sent me,

Its a nice looking scooby alright, I had cash in the hand the other day and was getting ready to arrange a viewing, Then a few things put me off, the guy says hes a member on here but not been on much latley, I have never come across him on here to my knowledge. He has aparantly owned it for 7 years so I thought he might be known to the comunity, would just like to know if he is genuine or not.

Hi guys is it just me or is there a panic at the moment with people puting there impreza up for sale, I have been looking for one recently again as I miss my last one, and have been monitering the small adds, there is 10 a day or more getting added to pistonheads and almost 15 in the last 4 hours. This could be a sign of the credit crunch which is on its way, think I might just hold off for a bit and see how the market goes Paddy.
