  1. Yeah man Andy worked a bit of his magic on my car a bit ago and the car has never been running better. Got my scooby mapped for more torque in the mid-range and the car in now a rocket between 4000 to 6000 rpm, although i still need to get used to changing earlier to get maximum performance . Also noticed that over a steady long-distance run the petrol consumption was about better than before, more power and better fuel consumption now you cant beat that!! Not had the car on a dyno yet but at Crail got a reduction of 0.5-1s over the quarter mile which proves the power increase and keeps me grinning!! In an ideal world every scooby would have the AndyF treatment!!
  2. Congratulations and all the best!!
  3. If i get back up from England in time i will be there. Was up last Sunday and was a poor turn out (only around fourty odd folk) but i put it down to how cold it was. Did not discourage me and meant that you got a chance for as many runs as you wanted, managed a respectable 13.3s at 105mph thanks to a remap by our man AndyF. Just got some fresh tyres on the scoob so looking to wear them in and Crail would be a perfect chance
  4. << I bang on my flamer kit. >> I think JC Scoob beat us all to it with his flamer kit, now that truely is the ultimate way to make folk back off your tail (worked on me!!!)
  5. Alright man I think that the spoiler is called an Inac Tuning Rear Spoiler, found one pretty much identical to it at Link They do them with or without a brake light and at a pretty reasonable price
  6. Haward and Scott all the way
  7. Shocking mate sorry to hear it! Makes me feel like a should give the car a quick clean before i next go for a run.
  8. << Decated... got a Hayward and Scott Decated downpipe fitted today.. >> So the way forward mate!! So glad when i got mine i had a run from AWD to Edinburgh to check out the difference, H&S all the way!
  9. Recently got a set of Angel eyes of ebay, looks great on the car but managed to get some water into one of the connectors and it drained my car battery Had to then take em apart and sort out any shorted out wires but ready to be installed and aligned, i suppose that was the catch for getting them cheaper than normal! Morettes are the other option, not got to mess around with a set of Morettes close up but from pictures they seem to be of a better design quality but they do cost you about £100-150 more In browsing the net i cam across Link They are selling the angel eyes with a blue halo rim round the lights for £135 inc delivery for both classic and bugeye scoobs, not bad considering a set of morettes can cost you upto £300. Hope that is some help for you mate! Iqy

I know that Mike with the p1 who i ran against got a best time of 13.16 but unsure if he wants in on the list??
  11. Same thing happens with my scooby before and after i put the dump valve on, but i think it may have started happening after putting on the downpipe. Not bothered by it and my car has been through sevices with Subaru with both thumbs up so i can live with it!! I was actually wondering if the effect would keep your turbo spooling up during a gear change so when you next throttle it you get a health amount of boost from the turbo?? Kind of like the heal toe move that the pro's use to rev the engine during braking.
  12. << Just thought i would say i was dead chuffed with my time of 14.899 today >> Nice one man gonna be giving the scoobs a run for their money with times like that!!
  13. << Heard the H&S is the one to have though!! They also do a sports cat-pipe which may be worth a look at.....its not cheap though!! >> I can highly recommend the Hayward and Scott systems (not bias by the fact they are on my scooby!!) gave me very noticeable gains in performance and throttle response. When i went for the set up got the back box and centre decat first, which on its own reduced my 1/4 mile times by upto 0.4s. Then got the downpipe fitted, recommend the fully open necked downpipe as opposed the the twin pipe designs (which H&S do as standard i believe!). The difference was like night and day to the throttle response and my 1/4 mile times had reduced upto a further 0.5s, however the part i liked the most is that you can hear the turbo spooling up a lot more (always brings a smile to the face!). The centre decat can be fitted fairly easy but the downpipe as it connects the the turbo needs you to leave the car for a couple of hours after driving to let the pipes cool down. Got AWD to fit my downpipe and it took a while to do as on my UK model the heat shield over the turbo needed to be reshaped to fit the new d/p and also there was a sensor on the pipe (i forget which!) that had over time welded to the original pipe and needed replacing (this cost an extra £50 but i dont know if the jap type R has the same sensor fitted, just warn you from my experience!). Glad you decided to get do some mods to the scoob even after you said you were just gonna leave the car how it is Nice one!!
  14. Hi Cal ver nice mini vid there!! Especially like the bit with my silver scooby roasting the P1 off the line, makes me actually look like a decent driver for once . Also looked like mikey had put his car into reverse as the lights were changing??? However he got his revenge later on up the track, but it was fun being in the lead while it lasted Thanks for going to the time and effort of making the vid Cal you are a good man!!
  15. Nice pics there Peter, wish i had more time to have a chat with you but hopefully see you at the next Crail in a couple of weeks! << (I think I may have to go to the next crail day! hehe) >> If you do make it up will give you another run, nice convoying with you for a bit on the way home but had loads of petrol left and could not resist a 'spirited' ride on the way home!! Nice meeting you and having the pleasure of racing your tasty Type R.
  16. Nice load of pics there JC, got a couple of beauties of my silver machine!! Bit annoyed i ended up sleeping in and getting up to Crail a bit late on (i am such a lazy bugger!!). Was great to meet some of the folk of the forum in the flesh and more importantly to give you a run down the quarter mile track Bit disappointed with my performance today only managing a best of 13.9, but remap to come soon so looking for low 13's for next crail All round mas an excellent turnout of scoobies i hope to meet more of the folk i didnt get a chance to banter with. Lets hope the next Crail has as good a turn out.
  17. << Yip that was me! Hope you had a good run weather was good so hope you had windies doon so you can hear that nice sounding music comming from the rear >> Cool to meet you man. Had a good run that day plus went for a visit to AWD to get a Strut bace fitted so i could enjoy the country roads that bit more Glad you were liking the sound of the scoob, got me the Jap Style Hayward and Scott back box on the bad boy and love the sound it makes (In an ideal world everyone should have one!! ). Admittedly its a wee bit loud for city driving but brings out the flat four sound a treat. Were you out for a run yourself mate?
  18. Hey man sorry to hear about the parts, i really cant stand it when people steal stuff! Hope you managed to find the F@*ker and get some of your stuff back, if i see any of the parts going cheap will let you know.
  19. << Back on this Sunday @ 20:00 >> About time!!! Gives you something nice to put your feet up and relax to after a long day dag racing out at Crail
  20. << Silver mk2 classic with carbon fiber bonnet around 1300hrs on queensferry road >> I think that might have been myself, had the day of and was off for a small run while the weather was good!! Were you in the blue classic model scoob? No worries about not waving mate maybe next time

Got a remap planned just iching to get it done but gonna have to wait till next crail to see how if would affect my times, so for now i may not be making a bid for the top 15 Good to see plenty of other scoobies heading up aswell cant wait to give a few of you guys a run!
  23. Nice job man, a truely beastly micro machine The crazy part is that some crazy guys over in japan actually made a driveable micro version of the impreza similar to the picture, some one posted the link to the vid a while back. Absolutely nuts, yet very cool!!!
