  4. If its only a small area that you want to do,you can buy the stuff from FROSTS...try this link... http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?pro...ck%20Trim%20Kit Arron has done some smaller areas in the rally car....finish is excellent if you take your time.. If you want the complete dash doing, then you have to take it out and completely strip ALL the ancillary equipment.... It will then cost about 120-150 to get done professionaly. Good luck jon

  10. The SPECS cameras are the ones in yellow housings fixed to a blue pole...normally two cameras in a single housing with filtered infra red lighting for night viewing of number plates. One of the cameras is for a number plate shot and the other is an overview of the target area. The DOME cameras mounted on the temporary posts are for the roadwork observation by the area police traffic centre (maidstone i believe). These cameras keep an eye on traffic flow etc and are used to alert the free recovery should there be a breakdown in the roadworks. Apparently these new roadworks are going to be with us for the next 18months while the south orbital roundabout(A2/M25 Junction) relief project is completed. This entails new slip roads to the M25 north and south from both london bound and coast bound A2. Hope this answers some questions.... Chaos WILL prevail no doubt... JON
  11. Monty...It took Arron and me 6 hours to take out the old box and fit the new dog box in the rally car...as well as change the engine and gearbox mounts. But we had the luxury of Deano666 helping as well as a four poster ramp courtesy of SAJID at http://www.japperformanceparts.co.uk/ jon

  19. Well here goes.... Got to Keevil nice and early after leaving Arrons at 4.30am[].. Got the car off the trailer and took it to noise control, where we got through easily (for a change). Then we had to queue for scrutineering.... The scrutineer was a pain in the harris...we didnt have a front number plate on the car and so it was deemed not to be road legal and therefore a fail(Please bear in mind that we were not going on ANY public road during the event????) Also there seemed to be a problem with our turbo restrictor which was not wire sealed, and so the scrutineer wanted us to strip the turbo so he could check the diameter of the restictor to make sure it conformed...at this stage, arron was getting very wound up, but i will let him explain that later. After lots of running round, shaking of heads, and grovelling to the scrutineer, we passed and could begin our day... We put the car back together and set about getting ready for the first stage. Off we go into the first stage, and after about 2/3rds of the way round the first lap Arron noticed the temp gauge was at maximum, so we retired from the stage and took maximum time (14 plus minutes instead of 8) Back in service , we had 40mins to get the car sorted. we thought the problem may be with a sticking stat, because the rad was cold on one side. We eventually concluded that it was no more than an air lock in the system so it was filled up and off we went again. Stage 2 had to be taken with care , just so that we could keep an eye on the car and temperature... The car ran faultlessly for the rest of the day...the new gearbox was absolutely fantastic.. As the day went on we were getting much faster (even though the tyres were going off)...with Arron sliding the car beautifully through some corners.. We overtook a few competitors as the afternoon progressed and on the last stage we took over 20 seconds from another scoob ( bear in mind cars start in 30second intervals).. I managed to get some good in car video footage that i will try and host later... If we hadn't had the 14mins for the first stage, we worked it out that we would have finished about 15th overall...which would have been a bloody good result. The next event will hopefully be in about a months time...but again it's a non spectator event...sorry. Jon
