  1. Dean, what have you done now? Go for a six speed jap spec from a forester sti if you can find one!! Best ratios for your power/engine combo. I wouldnt have a straight cut box/dog box....it will drive you mad after a few weeks....(especially at your age...lol)and they are designed to have rebuilds every so many miles. The dog box in the rally car was more hassle than it was worth in my opinion! Give me a call if you like... jon
  2. Outing at Longcross in the rally car.... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vnZhEFrfiZI&...feature=related jon
  3. did they change the reverse gear then?...Didnt look okay to me? jon
  4. And a very nice knob it was too.... Hope you put it to some good use in the near future.. jon
  5. Much cheaper elsewhere if you look trev!!
  6. Trev, this is what you MAY need, depending on which coilovers you go for with those wide wheels you are running. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza-Contr...A1%7C240%3A1318 These will NOT be a mod, because your ones looked totally worn out.. jon
  7. No problem Dean! just glad to help... As you know, what goes around comes around, (if you deal with the right people ) jon
  8. Deans gearbox is a straight cut affair, so the only bits that will be of any use are maybe the selectors. The ones in your box will more than likely be ally, and deans will probably be steel. Arron and myself may have a solution for dean this week....fingers crossed.... jon
  9. Yep, seeding was quite favorable.... There is another event up that way in October, but we will have to see how we get on with the gearbox. we will still be coming up on saturday to view the event as we have been allowed to park in the service area. We will only be getting back 60% of the entry fee, so we are going to make the most of the money it has cost us...lol Going out to Belgium on Sunday to watch an event out there!! jon
  10. Well im sorry to announce that whilst taking the car to MOCOM on friday, the gearbox decided to break on the rally car! We stripped the box out yesterday and and took it apart to discover that the problem is a broken input shaft... As this is a specialist gearbox, there are only a few places that can repair it for us. A new input shaft costs somewhere in the region of £700 plus labour. Add that to the price of tyres, trailer hire, fuel, and overnight stays etc, both of us have decided that cost and time are not on our side to enable us to get the car ready for next weekend. Im sure that anyone going will still have a great time and im sure you will understand our problems. jon
  11. Arron and myself have had our entry accepted for the above event on september 13/14th. We shall be competing in our rally car with some top cars, in a quality event, with the proceeds going to charity. As its a spectator event, you can come along and show your support for two of Kent Scoobies longest serving members... The boys from Essex are planning to show their support, so why not tag along.... details here.. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/essex-scooby-crew...-september.html Many thanks jon

  14. The newer camera i gave you should be far superior...if its set up properly....you MAY have to RTFM!! Or it could be the quality of your recorder!! If you want me to set it up, bring to one of the meets and i will do it for you... jon
  15. You mean it works????? Glad to see it was of some use... Have you tried the other camera yet ian? jon
  16. The "lightweight Model" was the RA and was only available in WHITE or RED in 1993. Yours sounds like the run of the mill WRX...worth more money than the early RA's IMHO. Version 1 RA's around the 93 era have thinner glass(apparently?) and DIDNT Have central locking leccy windows Side skirts 16inch wheels Colur coded mirrors Although Air con was available as a factory extra?? Later models had some of the above available as extras as well as the rally blue colour. upwards of 1.6K-2.5k would seem a reasonable price (condition dependant) Good luck with the sale jon
  17. Got 8 more stages on video...just got to upload them when i get time!!! jon
  18. Millbrook is full (and expensive) and i believe Abingdon is full as well. What club is organising the november event at longcross? Hopefully the next event will be Tavern Motor clubs "Fat Albert Stages" near Castle Coombe in July. jon
