  1. On the 18th July, there were 16 people with names down to attend Battle.

Some of those people were on the original list to attend Teston on the 27th September.

In absence of the original Teston organiser tonight and the resignation of the Battle organiser, can those people confirm if they are still interested??

  2. Hey,

I have been away for over two weeks on holiday.

I came back and find a post asking what 'I' am doing about the party (attempting to insinuate that because 'I' could do a differrent date to the original one in the first post* - organisation is all now down to me), backed up by a second post by someome who seems to KNOW why the original thread has died, - but claims ignorance.

    * 'I' am not the 'only' one who could not make Japbash - including BAZ!!!

Call me old fashioned - but im a bit pissed off.

  3. i cancelled the camping nothing else certainly not ther birthday bash which is also says on the thread

as those who wanted to do japbash did so but those whom had other arrangments can arrange something for when it is convenient for them as you can see no one has stepped forward to arrange anything so by this all i can assume is nothing is happening

Bit silly writing CANCELLED over the WHOLE THREAD really then!

A lot of People (including me) , put their name down for Battle on the original date. - why cancel that??

(Second thoughts, don't answer that - I can guess!).

  4. I have just flown back after two weeks in Spain - so thanks for that.

I was hoping that perhaps yourself or one of the other people who like to make magnanimous decisions - may have sorted something out by now???

    :rotfl:

I am working my way down all the threads, but 'I' had assumed that the bash was going to be in the original venue???

Is it not happening at the park in Maidstone then?

QUOTE From the Original B.DAY THREAD===

HOL = "I can't attend Japbash. - And I was here at the very beggining of the KS scene.

Waaay too short notice to change it. IMHO as some people like me have made plans around the date."

As you couldnt Make JAPBASH (weekend just gone, Not having a dig)

Please can you help Me/everyone that wants to do this BIRTHDAY BASH on 27th September..

    Where is it?

    Whats the meeting time?

    Is there over nite camping?

As need to make arrangment for this event

    Thank You Baz

  5. 'Too many cooks' - me thinks.

I think the club could reallly do with a BBQ/Party with fun and games this year. The Birthday BBQ has always been a day thing. The last one we held was actually a really good laugh down at Teston. At the end of the day, we all went home knackered for a rest.

There is no reason why the camping trip/BBQ could not still have gone ahead. The same goes for the Japbash BBQ/beerfest, if people wanted to go. I cannot see why these two singular events were cancelled, if people wanted to go? Is it just because they are not being viewed as the Birthday BBQ?

There is an obvious split of people who want the normal Birthday BBQ, so that they can spend a day having a laugh and those people who want to camp over into the evening so that they can have a beer and a laugh. Surely there is somewhere in central Kent that we can accomplish both goals?

BBQ and games during the day, then those who want to go home - can. Those who want to sleep off the beer can as well.

  6. Kip is running K Sports i think, and he will tell you they are better than APs

    They must be good then,

I had AP' 4pot's on my TypeR and they were the mutts-nutt arounds Silverstone.

The same spec Pads on my Newage Brembos were dire after half a lap. (But, the disks were solid and the car is 100kg heavier).

  7. I have the JDM/Standard Subaru HID's on mine.

    And they are really good.

but, the HID is only dipped beam, with the main beam being a standard bulb.

If you wanted HID main/high beam you need to buy an aftermarket kit (as well).

I think Granby has fitted both kits to his???

  8. Alternatively,

I think most stereos need 9v to keep the codes alive.

So, if you have an old cigarette lighter plug, you could connet that to a minimum 9v standalone supply (spare battery or battery charger) and it should keep all your clock and other settings alive in the short term that the batter is diconnected.

I think you can buy gizmos ready made to do it.

  9. Hehe spooted u back fella !!

Also spotted big jay in parkwood today !!! and M8 Lee in his sti 1/2 mile behind you

I spotted Monty Jr playing PS3 with Hol Jr in my lounge yesterday.

    Does that count?? :)

You done in another gearbox then Monty????

    Fitting party and BBQ?

  11. A friend of mine is having an Evo 10 delivered to his house on friday.

    Broken down already has it?

Will he be getting the 'I bought an Evo because Subaru's kept on beating my chaved up Corsa' sticker?

I used to like them, but I could never lower myself to buy one now, - not after reading most of their opinionated trash spouted by all the newcomers from the last 3 years or so.

Its amazing how many GSR owners think they are holding the car on the corners and not the rear diff computer

Its the car doing the difficult bit, not you!!!
