ok peeps here it is.12th of december,2pm at yorkhill main entrance.the cars will be parked at the car park near the main gate.we will be met by jill who is the playtime organiser at yorkhill.scooby santa and a few of us will be allowed into ward 5a to give out some pressies,the rest will be put into storage till xmas day. all we have to do now is to organise ourselves to meets at karps for sunday lunch (3 courses i believe) then a convoy to yorkhill.details to be finalised at ayr meet on 11th dec.lets make it a good afternoon out and above all have some fun. cheers to you all billy

while theres no excuse for bad workmanship,sadly this is the way the motor trade is goin guys.i started in 1978 on mk2 escorts,cortinas etc.it was different back then,we got good training,had a laugh and had to actually "work" on cars.points plugs valve clearances etc.in todays garage enviroment the average apprentice could'nt tell you how to do these things.they are taught nothing about gearboxes because they are classed as specialist subjects (?). as for time served mechanics you have to put some blame on the car makers,servicing times and repair times are cut to the bare bone and with dealers only interested in their profits and not their staff thats why service at a dealership has gone into the @@ithouse.the problems you describe are common in every garage across the country.as a workshop foreman i despair at the thought of the future of the motor trade in this country.its all profit ching ching!!.i work for the largest motor group in scotland and we dont even get wished a merry christmas by our boss.do we mr clark?

well back to work and reality this weeki will be phoning yorkhill this week for final arrangements,all i can ask for is one last effort from you all.more pressies would be nice and a good turn out on 11th dec at ayr please.

no i dont work at nite but the hours i put in i feel like it.7.30 (to open up) till 5.30 inc Fridays and only 30 mins for lunch break.And not a lot of wages for it.

got another phone call today from Helen at yorkhill.12th dec finalised,though we will only be able to go sometime in the afternoon because of doctors rounds etc in the morning.the amount of cars has been decided at ten.a room is to be set aside for us to meet with the staff as ther is limited room on the ward.however scooby santa will be made welcome there.the amount of time we can spend there will be discussed at a staff meeting in plenty of time before the big day.so karps mate it doesn't look like you'll be suppying breakfast but sunday lunch before we go to yorkhill.mm yum yum

fraid not m8.anybody else suggest anything.i've sobered up but me and the missus is gonna start again 2 nite.

it would appear that some interest has been lost in the first scottish scoobies santa cruise.we need more presents people and a little more interest.we are nearing the end of november now and we dont have enough gifts.
