Well i was thinking of getting one till i gagged on the price.I contacted a dealer,test drove a standard 2.5 wrx which i was impessed with.The price of the gb270 hadn't been released at that point so they said they would phone with change over price,but if i didnt hear from them by 10am the next morning i was to phone them.I though what a way to conduct business,anyhow i didnt get the call and it wasnt worth phoning cause the price was still unknown.When the price was released i sent an e-mail saying no ta too expensive.To date i still havent heard from them to at least say thanks for letting us know or it would cost x amount to change.You know who you are and you need to sharpen up your ideas.[:@]

Did any body see the bbc news at six tonight? It showed a poor classic Scoobie owner sittin on the roof of his car on his mobile for help.The water was over the doors and it had deployed the airbags.Poor guy.

Despite the price Subaru know fine well that they will sell them.

I know ive had bad experiences with my present car etc.Ive e-mailed 3 different dealers enquiring about one of these cars and not one of them has had the decency to reply.Says it all really doesn't?

Subaru lacks quality?Have you checked out the low rent council interior fitted to an evo?I 've driven one which was traded in at my work,some of my workmates also tried it they didn't like it either.For all my new age is a bag of -hite with its rattles etc its still better than an evo.

And a damn site more exciting than wrc,f1 and btcc.

Morris Marinas,i had 4 of them all 1800's Good in a straight line but torsion bar front suspension without an arb meant any corners were a no no.

Also consider this it doesnt have a timing belt its chain driven,i wonder how durable that will be,with those stupid plastic tensioners.

This is interesting.Being in the car trade and seen a few vw fsi engines with there heads removed i can assure you modern fuel is not as clean as you think.They have all been quite "coked up" both on the piston tops and the combustion chambers in the head.The valve stems also have a lot of coke on them. What i did was: Cleaned the car outside and inside.Decided it was time for a drive,went down some Ayrshire backroads and now i'll need to wash it again.Covered in flies.

Col, Sorry to hear your giving up Scooby ownership.Ive got a 55 plate sti9 ppp and it will DEF be my last scooby,bag of nuts.
