  8. The world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make is taking a stroll down his local high street. As he passes by the record shop, a sign catches his eye: “Just Released - New LP -Wasps of the World & the sounds that they make available now!” Unable to resist the temptation, the man goes into the shop. “I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make. I’d very much like to listen to the new LP you have advertised in the window.” “Certainly, Sir,” says the young man behind the counter. “If you’d like to step into the booth and put on the headphones, I’ll put the LP on for you.” The world expert on European wasps goes into the booth and puts on the earphones. Ten minutes later, he comes out of the booth and announces, “I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make and yet I recognised none of those.” “I’m sorry Sir”, says the young assistant. “If you’d care to step into the booth, I can let you have another 10 minutes.” The world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make steps back into the booth and replaces the headphones. Ten minutes later, he comes out of the booth shaking his head. “I don’t understand it”, he says, “I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make, and yet I still can’t recognise any of those!” “I’m terribly sorry, Sir” says the young man, “perhaps if you’d like to step into the booth again, you could have 5 more minutes.” Sighing, the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make steps back into the booth. Five minutes later, he comes out again, clearly agitated. “I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make and yet I have recognised none of the wasps on this LP.” “ scroll I really am terribly sorry”, says the young assistant…………………. “I’ve just realised I was playing you the bee side.”

  11. Puff we are happily supporting/promoting ScoobySprint but note it is a commercial venture at the end of the day Please note this is not intended as an alternative to Scoobysprint just an chance to try a sprint if you don't live UP NORTH Phil
  12. As suggested I think its time to close Connor as long as your good as your word to me mate you will always be welcome here Thanks to everybody for defending your home it does make me feel good that you appreciated the work we put in to this place over the last couple of years
  13. As you guys know we work closely with the MLR on Trackdays which have proved to be very succesful over the last couple of years Now the MLR have been running a Sprint Series at several circuits throughout the country They are making several changes to the 3rd round to be held at Rockingham on the 15th of May They will be using new Tag Heur Timing equipment which enables them to use the circuit below Thus allowing more competitors The event is effectively a pilot, but if successful we will look at extending it to other Sprint Series rounds this year. We currently have 15 places available - all on a first come first served basis, and each runner can expect between 8 and 12 runs during the day; 4 practice and up to 8 competitive runs - all for £125. Details are below but it would be great if we could attract a group of Imprezas to compete - SIDC will award a trophy for the fastest driver/car on the day There won't be classes for SIDC members yet, but if it takes off then it's certainly something that we will consider EVENT PROGRAMME: The programme will follow the basic format and approximate timings as shown below; 8:00 Registration 8:45 Briefing will take place for all drivers 9:00 Sighting laps compulsory for all drivers 9:15 Practice runs start 12:30 Lunch 13:00 First event runs start 17:00 Event closes TIMED RUNS: All drivers will have a minimum of 4 practice runs prior to lunch and between 6 - 8 competitive runs during the afternoon (subject to the circuit). All runs will be recorded and displayed at the Sprint Control area, but the practice runs will not count towards the official times for that event. The official timed runs will decide the finishing positions. COMPULSORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT: It is compulsory for all occupants to wear a crash helmet which is properly fastened and have arms and legs covered ? preferably by natural fibre clothing at each event. Helmets must conform to British Standards and should fit properly. Seat belts or safety harnesses must be worn at all times when on the circuit. We strongly advise the wearing of a 2 layer Proban or Nomex race suit. Fire extinguishers are not compulsory but must be securely mounted if they are in the car. PASSENGERS: Passengers are allowed in the front seat of the car only and must meet the compulsory safety equipment regulations as shown above. NOISE: Noise limit for the day is 105dba VIDEO CAMERAS: Video or bullet cameras are allowed but must be securely mounted to the car using the proper mounts. Due to the Time Scale could I ask you to book directly via the MLR Shop for this event on phone 0845 12 526237 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
  14. Guys I am happy for friendly debate to continue but name calling will result in this thread closing FINAL ANSWER
  15. Did a little exercise recently 78 Subaru Forums in the UK 30+ charging some form of membership Seems we have lots of IT type guys wanting to have there own site it has diluted SIDC advertising revenue over the last couple of years The trouble is that I don't see any of the other sites offering anything more or different
  16. To be honest guys we are just going round in circles and probably givin the .net version more advertising than it could have ever have hoped for Connor is going to run his site and has promised not to leach of the back of us Perhaps we can draw this to a close
  17. Hi To clarify I said "If you are willing to do a name change we will happily purchase the domain name from you" I didn't suggest he give it up I just said we would cover the cost IF he wanted to name change I would however agree sensible debate always wins over mud slinging
  18. FOOL !! This is fraud so it should still be recovered Its only companies going bust that you need a credit card for IIRC
  19. Its a good point If you are willing to do a name change we will happily purchase the domain name from you
  20. I have removed personal details from a post at the request of Connor, I appreciate these details are readily available via "Whois" but the requested was politly made and I have complied
  21. Report it to your credit card company
  22. Guys "We" own the .co.uk & .com versions If anybody is being approached with unsolicited PM's please forward them to me and the sender will be banned as I was advised by Connor that this would not be the case I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery Phil
