ESC/SIDC present the famous Halfway House meet (A127) 11/10/07 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yep, it's that time again. Hopefully it'll be a full house just like Septembers' meet. It'll give the ever expanding newbies list the chance to come down, join in and tell us that they won't be buying any mods nor pink shirts or a SIDC membership, then leave feeling like their wallet has been emptied by the infamous ESC cash-taking fairy!! (Not you Cornelius )

There is no reason why more people can't get involved but if you focus one person to liase back to SIDC thats cool. Remember you don't need to be an RO to organise a meeting You need someone to update calanders, receive emails from us that is Kent related, generally be a figure head Pele has been a great RO You guys want more Then when you have the meeting perhaps Pele needs to delegate some of the workload if its too heavy THE KEY IS TO TALK IN PERSON AS FORUMS CAN BE VERY BLACK AND WHITE Someone has to make a decision every now and again EG Tiny decided we would have Pink T shirts 2 years ago there were ALOT of people that said OVER MY DEAD BODY well the rest is history Tiny also decided to go to some show at Lakeside a year or two .................. BIG MISTAKE but hey a decision was made and we attended, Tiny was not berated for it, It was a lesson learn't So remember you will never all agree on something and its not wrong to disagree reasoned debate will see KS grow not petty squabbles
-
Respect for that as well
-
You guys are the best and you gave a Hero a Hero's farewell
-
I think you will find Prodrive will refer you back to us as they were trying to focus these requests via one organisation because they were getting inundated I would look for local supporters why not try the local dealers
-
Not wanting to throw a spanner in the works but SIDC Shop can now add regional Logo's to existing store products So you could define a colour and order them one by one if you wish IF THIS CONFUSES PLEASE IGNORE
-
Can you advise what is going to Charity I am able to audit the ones supplied by Class A to ensure no profiteering Not accussing just checking
-

Hi Guys Thought I would stick my head in Can I just clarify "SIDC Funding" Club funds go towards all its members benefits i.e. Mag, Website, Show Equipment etc etc We do not have enough funds to supply every region with Marquees, flags, etc etc ..... I ONLY WISH WE COULD. We do however put on some great stands at various large events to keep attracting new members This equipment can be borrowed if you have a local show - just contact myself or Wimpy There is another way of raising money If you guys can find local sponsors that are prepared to advertise with the club I will feed this money back to the region. This is how Essex has managed to buy flags, banners and its own Marquee. The other possible option [Andy will have to ok this] is have an extended membership to your SIDC Membership and become a KS Supporter for £x amount a year [a bit like the ESC Badge on Scoobynet] BUT This amount would be made available exclusively for KS use i.e. flags etc etc. Ok hope thats cleared funding up. please PM me if you want any further clarification "committee's" can I make one point about this Essex don't have one they just have a core of friends that talk openly about events Tiny rounds them up and of we go !!! Its a car club Your SIDC Regional Organiser Pele put Kent on the Map and was one of the first regional clubs to approach me to have there own section she deserves respect. If you guys feel things need a shake up or fresh blood why not arrange a meet and feed of each other and use Pele's experiance. REMEMBER IF YOU FEEL A CHANGE IS REQUIRED IT SHOULDN'T MEAN PELE IS NOT PART OF THE "Team" -
Thats good to hear I will ensure all monies raised from the sale of the Class A stickers are passed on to them
-
