Im just looking to tidy the car up, going to get the front end resprayed. And the dreaded rust has set in to one of the rear arches, its got so bad recently that the last clip for the bumper wont fix in place, leaving the bumper hanging down, looks horrible so it will be getting sorted asap. I really want a decent set of mats for the car, it really lets the interior down, wanted the original Prodrive ones but keep missing out when they come up for sale (and dont get me started on the prodrive/sparco seats haha) I bought some rear Brembo calipers for it and going to get them powdercoated to match the front Alcons. Only other thing thats in my head is new ARB's and geometry set up. Hopefully after that i will leave it alone.

What was the outcome of this?

I was a paid up member in 2006, when i went to Australia i still wanted to feel part of the club, back then it was buzzing, always stuff happening and the forum was very lively. I think all the splinter groups killed it. I know the Ayrshire scoobs club stand always does well and gets a good turn out at shows but the forum isnt very busy. No doubt some of you are members of aberdeen scoobs, SS.net etc, are those forums busy? I didnt keep my membership on as the forum slowed down, there wasnt many events i could make and i tend to stay away from the dealers for parts or service as they are usually more expensive than other suppliers, garages, so the saving i would get for being a member doesnt make much odds to me. I was really happy when the track days at Kames started up as it is close to me (lazy i know) perhaps it would be good to extend the invite to other subaru forums to come along to events like that, then it could be about the Subaru community and not just seperate clubs. Then maybe it would get more users back on the sidc/scottishscoobies forums and get new users wanting to stay and become members, price dependant of course

How long have you been with the insurance company? My insurance renewal came through and the price had jumped up. Just play them at their game, tell them your not paying it and they better do a better quote or your leaving, be persistent. Get a quote from another company, they will offer a low quote as they will want your business, go back to the company you are with and tell them to beat that quote, hopefully it will work, it did for me.

Just wondering if this car is still going strong. My friend used to own the car about 6-7 years ago now.

I got it last night and have been doing my b license and a few special events. The ring in the gullwing is great fun, especially if you clip the grass. Really enjoyed the go kart races ive done so far. I see you can buy the Mines BNR34 and HKS CT230R Evo, ive not got enough level in the game to get them yet. Do you think we could set up a Scottish Scoobies Tsukuba Super Battle for best lap time in either of these cars? I think that could be good.

I got mixed up with this car and the EMB car, it began as a fire damaged car, stolen recovered is no biggy really. Even buying a bugeye, then getting all the work done to bring it up to this spec would cost a lot more, buy it buy it buy it!

I really like this car. Being a cat D wouldnt bother me in the slightest, you can see the amount of work that has gone into the car in the thread, it will be absolutely spot on, even if you came to sell it and anyone interested was worrying about it on cat D, the thread will always be there to read. I wonder how much it would cost to build another like it, would be much more than the asking price, much much more. Its all custom steel panels aswell, its a bargain! i dont think it will be for sale very long.
