well done to you for all the hard work and effort towards the sidc will always remember your pirouette infront of me at knockers little did i realise at the time that you were in line for a very hefty garage bill if you had slid that wee bit more into the ditch all the best matey, onwards and upwards
-
thats just the dogs frank verrrrry nice choice there, even better if you bolt on them AP's you have your going to enjoy that one A LOT
-
your thinking of the BWA Busses with Attitude and when i was chatting with the owner he said it's a 17 sec 1/4 mile if you look at the scottish scooby 1/4 mile times dale you'll see that my old scoob was running a 12.8 you would need a HUGE amount of work to geta camper under a 12 Kev when i was standing beside the bus it was shorter than me and i stand at 6ft think you should be ok for the garage but i'll get it measured when i take it back up the road bud
-
dont know if it will make you guys feel any better on a bmw forum someone posted up saying that on saturday over 70 M3's were posted up for sale on pistonheads thats 70 !!!!!!!!! seems that some other folk have had enough too, so if your after a bmw now would be a good time to buy one
-
that could come in well handy been to the field a few times in me past, the first time i went was in 88 seeing G n R and Dave Lee Roth was just TOP and many thanks folks and i dont expect everyone to get it it's just a change and something i sort of wanted since a wee lad and my other half loves it too not thinking of doing too much to it, if it needs anything in the way of metal work then it will be sorted but am thinking of keeping it the way it is have seen a few of these buses going down the strip on youtube not sure if i'll be doing it with this one likes but you never know
-
got tickets for download and planing of doing a few more next year as we've already planned out our holidays this year we are a bit limited on what we can go off too
-
cheers folks it's a very well looked after bus, had a dam good look at it and for something thats built in 66 it's a cracker it was green and white to start with but Virgin radio had a competition a few years ago and had 5 of them painted in the red white and blue for a Budwiser promotion, they were also stickered up but having seen them it looks better without it it's going to be used for going to festivals and the likes, also just for being able to bu&&er off when ever we like it's also got a wee gas cooker inside for doing the bacon butties and tea in the morning it's going to be fun, oh and it's not the slowest either, it was tuned on a rolling road and it's putting out 100 bhp at the wheels compare that to the standard 36 bhp from the old engine
-
whilst you all were scooting round the knockers enjoying yersails i was darn sarf buying this werent able to drive it back up the road due to a wee small matter of insurance and the likes but it shall be coming back to abz in the next few weeks
-
i do like the rat look and thought that the first one was kinda funky the other half didnt though seen the second one and it is a beauty likes, just a wee bit too much for me at the moment i do have another one in my sights and may be going down sarf next week to see it
-
this one? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/350686.htm did think about that one but the other half didnt like the look of it and cheers matey
-

-
who said that i was leaving the scooby fold ???? check this puppy out http://www.vwkd.co.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1082 having been looking about the dub forums these last few days or so i can see the reason behind going for the scooby engine mmmmmmmm, wonder if Andy F has ever mapped a VW camper with anti lag and launch control ????
-
aye, it sort of went quite quickly, which was a wee bit of a surprise didnt need to sell, just felt it was time to move on
-
what you mean like this ???? sorry couldnt help maself as said, just take your time getting used to it and the roads, they are pigging just now just wait till it rains hope you enjoy it bud
-
check this puppy out http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=426021 i think it could well cost as much but with the camper the other half would at least enjoy going out in it ............ also, i've found out that theres a few kicking about with scooby engines and theres places that do a scooby engine replacement for your dub:o have seen one with a BMW 2.8 conversion too am not going to rush out and but the first one we see, am searching the interweb for info and things to look out for look like it's going to be fun VICKY it's like saying goodbye to a relative thats been staying with you your glad to see the back of them but at the same time you wish they could stay for a while longer
-
the last sight of the scoob never mind eh !! it's been a lot of fun, it's also been a royal pain in the airse and it's cost me a fortune went into see my mate before handing the car over, he works at ecosse motorcycles in aberdeen, he turned round to a few customers and said "theres not too many cars that will kick a bike but that thing will give a 600 a bl**dy fright" hope the new owner (who'll be along soon ) enjoys it as much as i have and heres the new daily mota 525 tds auto oil burner over 550 miles to a tank, quiet at motorway speeds and holds the road like sticky stuff not quite the M5 that i'm after but it will do for the now the M5 may have to wait as me and the other half are thinking of getting a VW splitty camperven laters ss

will it be ok if i turn up in my 525 oil burner grant ???? -
have heard something of the same too not sure if what i've heard is correct likes but it was something like animal fat/product mixed in with the salt and chemicals that was being spread on the roads
-
i had a bailey one at first and found it was pretty bad at motorway speed (70 ish) as it would leak and sound like it was just on the boil (if you know what i mean) now have a hks one fitted and you can get away with out it giving the pphhhhhhssssssst at lower rpm as it has a sronger spring and is suited for higher boost
