Its just not worth having a nice car these days, no-one has any respect for other peoples cars.
>>
Yup..... we've had to have the dent wizard guy out to the Mrs car 3 times coz folk have opened their doors onto it when it's been parked somewhere. She's got the bloke's number on speed-dial now!!
Hope you get it polished out ok Iain. The car park you were using not have CCTV?
they weren't expensive ones, got them off eBay i think, cost about £8. Went out to give the car a wee hoover 10 minutes ago and all 4 have been nicked.
Wee gits
Brian.... perhaps you could give me a bit of advise..... are either of those pads (pagid or ferrodo) bad for coating the alloys the first time you brake after washing the car?
The standard pads don't seem to chuck out much dust (maybe not using them hard enough!!) but if i'm gonna upgrade when I need a set, i'd like the new pads not to be too dusty
aye stephen, they humps are good. Used to be my highlight when we used to go to Blackpool on summer hols when I was a young lad.
Now that i'm a bit older I find myself wondering why they made the road like that - surely it would have been much easier to fill the dips with soil and make a straight road?? Not that i'm complaining though!
Wish i could make it tonight, still doing the rounds of relatives etc with the wedding video + piccies
If i see that video one more time I might just scream
i've heard a few folk say the Pagid 4-2-1 pads are good for {fast} road use, thinking of getting them myself when the current standard ones wear down a bit
Fee..... not entirely 100% on this but maybe give Jamie (H15OOB) a shout, he seems to be the resident Mr. Fix-It around here and i've yet to hear someone who has a bad word to say about him.
Only used him once and was more than happy with the work he did.
He's based up around Perthshire though, don't know if he travels.
i've got one of those lower grille thingies on my MY03 - see the link at the bottom of this post then go to gallery section.
The pics @ the bottom are the most recent - taken last week with the de-tango'd headlights and the WRC-style grille fitted
welcome drivefast.... what part of the country are you from?
Meets are held fairly regularly, normally once a month down in the central belt (Edinburgh/Glasgow). Don't know about anywhere further north though, but each area has it's own RO (Regional Organiser). Scott (Spooks) is the Edinburgh RO & billyboy is the new RO for the Glasgow area. There's also one for Ayrshire (Derek - nickname SCOOBAY).
Billyboy is having a meet in Glasgow next Tuesday (4th?) - if your around why not drop by & say hello (and maybe buy us all a pint!)
Put your name on this list if your interested.
drivefast - no this doesn't happen often at all. Quite a sensible forum, there's rules but sensible ones!
Chris the big humorous eejit will be back, he's just probably taken a wee huff at the moment
Stephen.... just spoke to Fiona @ Halleys.
Price is PER PAIR (£69.95) and apparently they take just under an hour to fit. (approx. £60 fitting). Fiona also tells me that Halleys offer 10% discount on parts & fitting to SIDC members!!
So approx £117 supplied & fitted inc. the discount.
Thought that since i was already on the phone to them, and they had them in stock i might as well get the car booked in. Getting them fitted next Wednesday morning, so i'll let you know how they look + maybe post up a couple of pics if you want?
stephen..... i swapped my standard back-box for a scoobyworld ninja box. Didn't notice any performance gains (that wasn't why i bought it) but it looks & sounds the dugs baws.
You also get 10% discount from scoobyworld if your a full SIDC member.
Got a local Farmers Autocare to fit it too, for a fiver!!
Just an option, incase C+C can't help you.
try downloading a wee free program called easy thumbs - it lets you resize pics to whatever size you want. I think it's a company called Fookes Software that make it.
Quite handy
Woke up @ 10.30am this morning, seen the sun was shining and wished i'd headed up there.
Sounds like it was a cracking event too, assuming i've still got the scoob next year then i'll definitely be there.
Got Jamie (H15OOB) to de-tango the front lights last week, and Revolution eventually got round to delivering the WRC-style grille i ordered on Thursday. Got it painted on Friday (Stevie Walkers, Bathgate) and got it fitted on Saturday morning.
Spent the rest of the day polishing....... just waiting until Revolution deliver the other part i ordered, a wee roof spoiler. Takes 4-6 weeks from Italy so i'll need to be patient.
Here's a couple of pics:

for more messy car crash pics (doesn't seem to include subaru's though) see www.wreckedexotics.com - there are ferrari's, porsche's, lotus, lamborghini, BMW, Jaguar etc.
I know it's not nice to look btw!!
