  1. It takes a lot to get me annoyed but Tim at Autoecosse in Dundee managed to succeed today. I phoned up last Saturday to see if they would be interested in buying my car, got a reasonable offer over the phone and was asked to take the car up so they could see it. The wife took it up last week and the garage agreed on a price based on the car being returned to standard and asked us to bring it back up today for the sale. Arrived at the garage this morning to be told by Tim that he was unable to buy my car today as his boss had taken the cheque book off him due to a slump in sales last week. I wouldn’t of been so bother had I got a phone call, email or text to tell me not to bother coming up. It would of saved me taking a half day off work and the two hour round journey for two cars as the wife followed me up to take me home again. Needless to say I left without any polite small talk. Tim, if Carlsberg made @rseholes, you probably be the best one around.

  7. Yes, permanent removal. Probably a stupid question but I have no engine knowledge at all. Will clamp them as thats easier Thanks, Al
  8. If I remove the complete heater matrix unit from a car does the flow and return water pipes from the engine need to be connected to retain water flow or can they be individually squeezed off. Al
  9. Sounds good, more drinking time and banter as a group sounds good. Mini pub crawl ending up somewhere nice to eat ? highland fling '10 - revenge on the tandoori! Al
  10. Andy, many thanks for the post, havent had much time the past few days to even get a pic up. Both mum and baby are doing well, I am knackered. Thanks for all the kind words from everyone.
  11. He is right Cal, people have no excuse for not owning a scoob any more . The new hatch is comfy, stills burbles, holds two baby seats, has a decent boot, looks good and is very comfortable to drive. Hope you enjoy the golf thingy but you will miss the scoob, I bet you everyone that owns a scoob and sells it ends up missing it. They are like cigarettes, addictive, hard to give up and you will always be wanting one
  12. Looking good so far, your old one was nice as well.
  13. Wasnt me, scoob hasnt moved for about three weeks. See quite a few hatches about fife now. Al
  14. You might be able to use the quote from greenlight to confirm your ncd if it states it on the quote. I have just sent off a quote from existing insurer as proof and the new company were happy enough.
  15. Sold a car to these people before www.bestcarbuyer.co.uk Very good service, got offered 500 over book price. They used a company who supplies drivers to come collect the car. Cash in the bank within 15 minutes and the driver waited until I checked the money was there. Al

  19. Another on for the scooby hatch club Scooby Hatches Rule
  20. What about a raffle, car wash, anything where the members can devote time and get ££££ off people. Santa Cruise is a great idea and Ive done many events through SIDC to support it, but just asking members to donate money isnt same as a fund raising event to promote the need for support and donations to the charties that are helped.
  21. Aye you can air your ideas, some people might air thier opinions on your ideas, you might not like thier opinion, they might not like your ideas. Whats the difference. It was only suggested to run things through your RO. The club has ROs for a reason, to control things the members in thier area might want to do under the "SIDC" banner. No need to slate the club and members just cause you had a pants idea ??
  22. Oh dear, that is awfull. If you stick with what you said in your first post you should be ok. The 22B kit from HT Autos is very nice.
