  1. Do you know how they discovered it was the MAF then...? I'm thinking of biting the bullet and booking mine into the local Subaru dealers..... More expense!!
  2. Hi Marc - sounds fairly similar to my problem. Did you test the ECU with the 2 black plugs under the dash? If so did they not show a fault with the MAF...?
  3. Well changed the plugs and performed an ECU reset - it's still no better. The miss is noticeable when the car is stationary now too...? Think I'll just pull my hair out.... it'll save it falling out through stress!
  4. Hi guys - thanks for your suggestions. I know it isn't the plug leads as I've changed those. Have just bought some new plugs which I'll be fitting tomorrow. The car has really bad hesitation on acceleration. This is happening almost all of the time and in every gear about 2000-3000rpm. Seems to be worse in the lower gears (ie 1st and 2nd). Unfortunately I don't have a boost gauge so couldn't tell you the boost pressure. How can I tell if it's an overboost problem? The only mods on the car are a stainless back-box, dump valve and panel filter. Cheers Gary
  5. Been for a drive - the misfire seems to start as the turbo spins up. Can anyone help?
  6. Hi all - I've eventually got my Scoob back on the road after over 2 months! One full rebuild later, I'm glad to be back behind the wheel. I've done 75 miles of the 1000 I need to run it in, but the car started with an awful misfire. Originally this was only when the car was cold and somewhere between 2000-3000rpm, as soon as it had warmed up after a mile or so everything was fine. The misfire now appears to be there even when the engine is warm now. Has anyone got any ideas what might be causing this - as I am worried sick.....
  7. Mine pops and bangs well - I'd be worried if it didn't....!!!
  8. And there is still talk of a hose-pipe ban............
  9. Tell him to put his money where his mouth is. If he's so confident of the power of his rep-mobile he shouldn't have to think twice about taking you on from a set of traffic lights.....
  10. GTGRAFIX I use these - quality plates
  11. Holy cow - that's terryfying.... How on earth did he not hit anyone - @rsehole

  13. Jack decided to go skiing with his buddy, Bob. So they loaded up Jack's mini van and headed north. After driving for a few hours, they got caught in a terrible blizzard. So they pulled into a nearby farm and asked the attractive lady who answered the door if they could spend the night. "I realize it's terrible weather out there and I have this huge house all to myself, but I'm recently widowed," she explained. "I'm afraid the neighbors will talk if I let you stay in my house." "Don't worry," Jack said. "We'll be happy to sleep in the barn. And if the weather breaks, we'll be gone at first light." The lady agreed, and the two men found their way to the barn and settled in for the night. Come morning, the weather had cleared, and they got on their way. They enjoyed a great weekend of skiing. But about nine months later, Jack got an unexpected letter from an attorney. It took him a few minutes to figure it out, but he finally determined that it was from the attorney of that attractive widow he had met on the ski weekend. He dropped in on his friend Bob and asked, "Bob, do you remember that good-looking widow from the farm we stayed at on our ski holiday up North about 9 months ago?" "Yes, I do." said Bob "Did you, er, happen to get up in the middle of the night, go up to the house and pay her a visit?" "Well, um, yes," Bob said, a little embarrassed about being found out. "I have to admit that I did." "And did you happen to use my name instead of telling her your name?" Bob's face turned beet red and he said, "Yeah, look, I'm sorry, buddy. I'm afraid I did." "Why do you ask?" "She just died and left me everything. (And you thought the ending would be different, didn't you?) On a flight to Singapore, a gentleman had made several attempts to get into the men's rest room, but it had always been occupied. The flight attendant noticed his predicament. Sir, she said,"You may use the ladies room if you promise not to touch any of the buttons on the wall." He did what he needed to, and as he sat there he noticed the buttons he had promised not to touch. Each button was identified by letters: WW, WA, PP, and a red one labelled ATR. Who would know if he touched them? He couldn't resist. He pushed WW. Warm water was sprayed gently upon his bottom. What a nice feeling, he thought. Men's rest rooms don't have nice things like this. Anticipating greater pleasure, he pushed the WA button. Warm air replaced the warm water, gently drying his underside. When this stopped, he pushed the PP button. A large powder puff caressed his bottom adding a fragile scent of spring flowers to this unbelievable pleasure. The ladies rest room was more than a rest room, it is tender loving pleasure. When the powder puff completed its pleasure, he couldn't wait to push the ATR button, which he knew would be supreme ecstasy. Next thing he knew he was in a hospital as he opened his eyes. A nurse was staring down at him with a smirk on her face. "What happened?" he exclaimed. "You pushed one too many buttons," replied the nurse. "The last button marked ATR was an Automatic Tampon Remover. Your balls are in the bucket under the bed "
