  1. got mine from Dunc mate, give him a shout and see what he can sort out....
  2. "How does your Cossie compare to your mates WR1 ?" seen the cossie go, there would be no contest, eh Euan.... scott
  3. Seems very strange that you now come out with that response now andy, since you were aware of problems both times and even removed the first map.... at first map u told me the air was flowing "too well" for the turbo, so car goes back with new turbo, headers, FMIC, injectors, etc etc and still no further progression, hence the change to gems, car is on rolling road whilst still with ecutek on day of change to gems only for me to be told my car has been left running "dangeously lean mid-range"... also, i find it strange you think my exhaust headers were melted, in the fact that they have just come of the car and been sold on and are having no troubles and were in good condition, secondly, i might ask, what engine problems??car is in for upgrades now and none due to anything braking.... as i said in an earlier post, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and i was only stating mine, i know you have mapped a lot of newage cars since then and people have been happy with them, but i felt both times that we tried it that theecutek map did not work for my car, have had other people look at it who agreed,so it was changed to gems, which i am finding suits the car a lot better. scott
  4. my car was the complete opposite mate, tried ecutek twice with andy and both times was left very disappointed, second time car was running "dangerously lean" and changing to gems made a big improvement...and i guess if cars are proof then its fair to say mines is too... as you say though, each to their own, as long as what folk go for works then thats the main thing scott
  5. might be worth your while popping in to see Dunc at Hypertech mate, have tried various bits and pieces on my car and he could help you out. ECU wise, would def recommend getting the gems from steve simpson, have never looked back since changing to that management.... scott
  6. just read the rest of this post, and not going to cause more debate, but i seem to recall gumballs car being up against a standard wr1 and a P1 with a decat and a remap which was putting out about 320bhp(sure P1 sub will correct me on the exact bhp figure) and there was nowt in it. Also at same time went up against my car when it had ecutek and dyno'd 325bhp on dyno dynamics rollers and same thing. To be honest, i dont see any signs of it being a 400bhp car, especially since it was running standard injectors and internals...., it is alot harder than some people make out to get big power out of these cars, i know how much it has taken to get my car this far and it is a lot of time and £ to try and get it right.... scott
  7. 430bhp???is that on standard internals? should be interesting seeing them all next year.... scott
  8. agreed mate, top class service, hopefully not too much longer now til he has mine back together.... scott
  9. Hypertech in Bonnybridge do allignment as well now mate, maybe worth popping in to see Dunc and get him to have a look at it for you... scott
  10. got a set of rear calipers available if you are interested mate?? scott
  11. That is if you make it to 1000 miles without blowing it up again [] Seroiously though mate, if you are going to throw some money at it you want to be thinking about APs and coilovers like i said to you the other night.....thats def the way i would go if i was starting it all again.... scott
  12. Andy, fair point indeed, but i personally did not rate the ecutek map, twice it was tried and twice it did not work and my car was left not running well, soon as i had the gems fitted it made a vast improvement for the better. Others have had the ecutek map on the same style of car(sti8) and have had good success so good luck za , hope whichever way you choose works for you mate scott
  13. peters advice is good mate, better to spend the cash wisely and buy the right parts, best way to do it IMHO...... as for the radiator cooling plate, they are readily available, got an anodised blue cusco one on my car from hypertech, give dunc a call on 01324 812212 and he'll be able to sort you out... as for ecu, have you considered going for gems?felt it made a massive difference to my car for the better once it went to steve simpson scott
