  1. To post a thread for those meeting up and attending an event posted on another thread is post-whoring at its saddest. Not even Granbys stooped THAT low lol
  2. Bttt - nothing on the telly tonight so people might be on here and leave some feedback. Lets start a list of preferences; Baser999 and Tania - Saturday stopover

  5. Hugh, if we get down to a vote, we may as well forget about going in 2008! Like I said in the initial post, at this stage I'd just like to run this thread until 7 March to see what sort of response we get from those that are genuinely interested in going ie Day trip, Saturday stopover or Long Weekend. Will send you a pm about your trip.
  6. Thats just for us to know ..................it was a pleasure Shiralee
  7. ooooooooh errrrrrrrr missus
  8. I know its only the end of February but I'd like to get some feedback as to what sort of trip people would like, assuming there is of course enough interest in organising one. Hence the reason for this seperate post. 1. The initial proposal was for a day trip to Bruges, travelling out around 0830/0900 and returning about 2200 local time. The Shuttle would cost around £59 per car. 2. For the same cost on the Shuttle, its possible to stay over on the Saturday night and return Sunday. This would enable us to have a meal, a few beers etc without the worry of driving back that night. 3. Make a long weekend of it by travelling out Friday and returning Sunday. The Shuttle costs unfortunately rise to about £111 per car, plus there would of course be two nights accommodation to pay for - this could be two nights in Bruges or one in Bruges, one in France perhaps? Anyone not wanting (or able) to stay the whole weekend could just do the Saturday or Sunday. Could I please ask for those that are genuinely interested to respond to this thread with their preferred option ie Day trip, Saturday stopover or Long Weekend, by 7 MARCH at which point a definite decision will be made. If there is interest in any form of stopover I'm happy to do the legwork in searching for accommodation etc **PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD PURELY FOR STATING YOUR PREFERRED OPTION............THANK YOU**
  9. It's a nice idea Vicky but I wonder if the costs might start to get a little prohibitive for some people? Travelling out on the Shuttle on the Friday and returning Sunday is going to cost in the order of £110, on top of which will be two nights accommodation etc for those proposing to do the whole weekend. Lets see what response we get over ,say, the next week before we make a decision.
  10. Tell your dog to stay away from the letterbox just in case I post through an envelope of coins lol
  11. Will drop it in to you this weekend Ian if thats ok
  12. Is it a bit early to think about who might be going?
  13. You pay this much?
  14. For the same price on the Shuttle, its possible to travel out Saturday morning and return on the Sunday night which would allow us to eat and on the Saturday night although it does mean having to factor in hotel costs etc.........anyone interested in this option?
  15. If you always run the car downhill it'll go faster - trouble is if you live at the top, you'll never get back home. Save the expense of mods though. As you can tell, I'm not technically minded either
  16. Got the original 'gold' wheels that came on my00 classic - little tatty and been in my brothers shed in Bromley for last 2 years lol Think they're 17s and they still got the old tyres on them. Any help? I'm a bit limited on time over the next week, work etc, so get back asap Shiralee
