  1. Wasn't done til Tuesday Ian Sounds a lot better - getting used to the extra noise although found this can be easily sorted by upping the volume on the stereo
  2. Working nights all over this weekend so prevented from getting along to the Wharf for the Christmas meet tonight - hope there were more than the usual 'hardcore 4'. Any way Happy Christmas everyone By the way is there anyone going along to the Richard Burns memorial on Thursday?
  3. Just had Deano666 sort out my 60k service and fit new exhaust - can't fault any of the work and indeed he's pointed out a couple of bits and pieces such as the tyres that need attending to in the not too distant future - see my seperate listing! He's also proved a damn sight cheaper than main dealer Many thanks m8
  4. Will be needing new tyres before long. Question 1 - any preferred ones I should go for. The car is an x-reg classic used more or less daily albeit perhaps only 15 miles each way to and from central london so concerned with the everyday wear and tear aspect etc etc. The present tyres are Dunlop SP Sport 9000 215/45 ZR 17s on 5 spoke ? new age rims - no idea how many miles they've covered - on the car when I bought it in June. Question 2 - where's the best place to get them - Black Circle are on the SIDC site and list dozens both mail order or fitted but is there anyone else we use or can be recommended? Really only need 2 but funds permitting it would obviously be sensible to get all 4 sorted. Thanks for your help guys
  5. Dean was stunned..........Baser999 had finally managed to overtake something
  6. Great idea, lets hope theres sufficient interest to make this really worthwhile Perhaps for those of us that may have a little more spare time on their hands, we could continue on as part of the convoy?
  7. Sorry, not this one......on four nights this week
  8. At this stage I'm not due to be at work so if you're otherwise travelling up by yourself let me know.
  9. Going over to Haywards tomorrow and see if I can cut a deal with them - sadly Deano not servicing the motor until next week but going to France on the Shuttle the day after so should make a nice noise through the train - looks like it'll still be bog standard next Sunday - see you at Thurrock
  10. ....have studied the film and decided it could do with a good leathering..........................
  11. Are we Kent people going to be meeting at Thurrock or somewhere this side of the river
  12. For want of a better comment in the circumstances "absolutely priceless".
  13. Not definite at this stage but extremely hopeful and it is for a good cause Will add my name to the list.
  14. Although I've not used them you could try Foxs @ Badgers Mount? Sorry no phone number although they're listed on the official Subaru site
  15. Have just been directed to a site that reckons it shows the cheapest petrol prices in the area - www.petrolprices.com . Don't know if anyone might find it useful
  16. Have you tried looking on the Amazon site?
  17. Thinking about changing the original exhaust on my x - reg classic - anyone with one for sale?
  18. Will be driving in from Bromley or Plumstead so probably easier for me to go straight to Thurrock services or are we meeting up at Tollgate instead?

  21. ....so thats what a dodgy coloured shirt looks like .......I thought it was where his fake tan was soaking through due to the excess alcohol
  22. Interested in the exhaust although funds may be a bit tight this side of Christmas - will keep an eye on the posting and get back to you later if thats ok
  23. ....he bet the others he could eat all the roadkill but is now having second thoughts
  24. My x-reg classic is due its 60k service before the end of the year - lucky theres no other expenses to meet this time of year lol The dealer gave me a warranty with it so should I take it in to a pukker dealer for the work and get the book stamped? If I went to a recommended specialist elsewhere and perhaps had the service done cheaper it might leave me with a few bob that I could put towards modifying the motor as its still bog standard at the moment. Is getting the book stamped essential or just good practice? Some of you have said xtremes will stamp the book so p'raps this is the way to go. As far as modifying goes whats the best way forward on a fairly tight budget
