  1. Had just seen the scoobynet posting.....still in!
  2. Well I'm at work and it looks like I'm the first to wish you "Happy Birthday" on the actual day - have a lovely day Pele
  3. Should have said that I never had the scooby then - had a Scorpio
  4. I used to know a guy called Paul Sparks who ran a garage in Swanscombe - he used to run a Lotus so he may know a bit more than your average greasy monkey - sorry but since I moved out the area I've lost his number. Can't even remember the garage name although if its any help, if you come off the main drag you come up the high street , past the station and the road then bears right and his place was about 100yds up on the right hand side. When I lived in Gravesend I'd just pop in and book the old motor in so never really needed to know name/telephone etc. Sorry.
  5. Already got my namre down - had planned on going direct to Thurrock but might now be bringing my son along in which case may meet you at Tollgate
  6. Names already down - will we be travelling up in a convoy from the Kent area or meeting with the ESC at their rendezvous point? Any plans been made yet?
  7. Only a month and £100 , thats a real result I'm going over to the tunnel run on Saturday if you're needing a lift although 'it is only a bog standard classic!' Only have access to the forum until about Saturday lunchtime so get back to me before then if you need picking up.
  8. Hi Leon.....I'm at work matey - been on nights this weekend, finishing 0630 this morning (Monday). Not all bad though as I'm not rostered again until 0630 Friday morning I work a 5 week rota and out of those 35 days I only go in for 16 shifts Hoping to get to the Wharf on 21st and the Essex club tunnel cruise on 29th - at the last count there were 33 on their list of runners. See you there?
  9. Well its 0135 Sunday morning and I'm at work and seem to be all alone on the forum again.............signing off now . Billy Nomates
  10. Sounds like a good idea to me and it is for a good cause innit! I'm working that weekend but can probably get the time off. Come on people support a good cause.....
  11. Not sure that PMs getting through.......how much did you want for the changer? I'm at work Saturday and Sunday night so can let my friend know and she can then make her mind up.
  12. Paul, have sent you PM rather than continue this along within the forum ok
  13. Wish I was , it would make my job a lot bl..dy easier!
  14. Been at work since 1830 last night doing a spot of o/t and again tonight 1830 - 0630 ; gives me chance to catch up on emails and read thro club forum. Is there no one else out there this time of night. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .or am I all alone ?
  15. Update....can't locate websitew for the Chelsea Cruise - thought it was something like chelseacruise.co.uk but all that gives you is statements about Chelsea cruising to victory, blah blah blah. Any way the Chelsea cruise meets at Chelsea bridge southside (opp Battersea park gates) from about 730 pm NOT at Battersea bridge.
  16. The essex club are proposing a detour via the west end and congregating on the embankment ......well the notorious Chelsea Cruise ( all the chevys, chargers etc etc) usually have their meet on the last Saturday of the month meeting southside of Battersea Bridge - been there twice this year and although theres alot of standing around admiring american gas gobblers theres always a few who'll burn rubber across the bridge, head down towards Chelsea before running back. Its all very sensible and adult Also a great burger van. Parking not really a problem as gates still open at Battersea park. There is website but can't locate it at the moment - will update asap. Ace Cafe in nw london, home of the american motor / bikes etc is associated with the chelsea cruise and their website is showing an impreza meet there that same Saturday.
  17. Cheers - thats even cheaper than the set I lost on ebay!!
  18. Paul, thanks for the offer - its for someone at work so will speak will speak to them and get back to you asap. Barry
  19. Any one got a set of mats suitable for my x - reg classic or failing that can anyone recommend a suitable retailer. Have been through the internet but apart from custom made (which don't look up to much but still expensive) or rubber (alright I suppose if you're in and out the motor all the time with filthy boots on) there doesn't seem to be a lot about. There were a decent Impreza logo set on Ebay but was beaten in the final minute by £1
  20. Will it be a run out or staying at the Wharf - anything planned?
  21. Tony and Dal , thanks for the advise - I've poked around under the front passenger seat and found a couple of connectors so the unit must have had separate cd changer. As far as a manual goes I realise now that since this was the original unit the operating instructions are included in the owners manual which I still have. Cheers guys
  22. When I bought my x-reg the dealer gave me the audio that the previous owner had taken out - its a Philips 79RC388/92 which I believe was the cars original audio unit. It seems to be a tuner/cassette and cd player but where do the cds go - does the unit open up when powered up or does it require a seperate changer? Would anyone have a surplus manual, or one that could be copied? Can the unit be transferred into an older y-reg Fiesta? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks. I have tried going on to various Philips sites but the product no is not recognised - presumeably too old now.
  23. Have read through the 2005 version and can't fault it at all . . . . . however they still don't seem to have legislated against those company car drivers who do NOT tailgate the motor in front and there are still no restrictions on old people 'going for a little drive' at the weekend.
  24. Been in work since 0630 this morning. . . . . its afternoon now but thanks for the greeting anyway
  25. Red P - reg pulling off Istead Rise on to the Wrotham Road about 1.30 today - was that your motor Pele? ........it was vey shiney!
