. . . and this doesn't take into account only running three wheels over a speed bump, one wheel going down a hole in the road, putting two wheels up on the pavement etc

So thats what a Snap-On tool does

Can you swap your scooby policy over to the people carrier whilst your away - ok, it might mean the scoobs not insured but if its securely locked away whilst you're off that shouldn't be a problem. However, it looks as if your problem is with the fact that the people carrier is in someone elses name? Tried posting up on Essex' site on SN? - they always seem to have people working in the right areas

I remember Granby saying something about this ages ago - something about keeping the lights on 'reminds' the system to keep charging every now and again rather than just lay dormant until you turn the key in the ignition

Thanks guys - will get back to you when I know exactly what his plans are

One of my sons will probably be travelling up with me and the Kent Scoobies convoy on the Sunday but he then needs to go back home to Abingdon afterwards. I know its not a huge detour for me to drop him off but wondered if anyone here might be able to run him back and I could then convoy back with the Club?

. . . . .but then you have to factor in the return journey from home to the Wharf and the onward journey from Banbury to Warwick. AA route planner is showing Dartford Tunnel to Warwick via Banbury at around 138 miles, so a round trip of not far short of 300 miles which no one here will do in one go. Looks like leaving on as full a tank as possible with a refuel in a Shell garage for the return. If anyone here hasn't got a V-power card I'll gladly let them add their points on mine -
The nun teaching at Sunday school asked her children which part of their body they thought went to heaven first. Suzy raised her hand and said "I think it's your hands" "Why's that Suzy?" "Well, when you pray you put your hands together in front of you so God can take you hands first" "What a wonderful answer Suzy" said the nun Little Johnny then raised his hand "I think its your feet miss" The nun looked at him with the strangest look and said "why do you think it would be your feet?" "Well. . . " said Johnny "last night I went into mummy and daddys bedroom and mummy was laying there with her legs up in the air screaming 'Oh my God, I'm coming!' If daddy hadn't pinned her down, we'd have lost her" The nun fainted

Granbys "lazy Sunday" Drive To The Coast, Sunday August 3rd
baser999 replied to granby's topic in South East England
Unable to make this now - will check out ball/frisbee situation and get them over to you Ian before the day -
Sorry Ian, not having a go at you m8y, but its the old KS apathy again - load of interest when its too late. . . . . Everyone knew this was going to be a huge event especially after the Richard Burns convoy and yet no one seemed bothered to act earlier
-
. . . and I got a free family ticket
-
With all due respect Ian, it was suggested ages ago but there seem to recollect there was little interest shown at that stage - it was I believe proposed/agreed that we left matters until nearer the date ,which we have, and convoy there as a club, on the day itself.

Three New Imprezas Unveiled At The Motor Show
baser999 replied to pistonbroke2's topic in South East England
Saw the 380 at the show today - sorry Subaru, but on looks alone it does nothing - looks too much like the STi - would have liked to have seen something a little more dynamic especially if its going to be a limited edition. No doubt it'll go like greased lightening , it just needs something to scream out ' buy me' which imho it doesn't' -
Says its for 2A's and 2C's only - sorry m8y
-
Probably too late now - gather from various threads on here that unlikely to get accommodation. Now perhaps if I'd suggested this months ago . . . . Scoobytibs, how many in your group? Might be able to stopover at my sons if this is my final plan?

Just got back Really good day although we had freebies - don't know as I'd have paid £25 entrance although since it was preview day there were supposedly less people about - think its only £10 on other days. Usual names there with shiney motors and a few concept cars - Subaru have a stand although there's been no mention of them on any emails I've had or even on the map you get. The new 380 was on display although I must be honest and say that on looks alone it didn't scream out 'buy me' - sorry guys. There is an enclosure of beautiful Ferraris, Zondas etc but no sign of the Veyron. However there is a seperate section somewhere of 'classics' which you have to pay £99 to get into! Perhaps thats where it is? There are the usual trade stands - signed up for subscription of Autocar mag for £60ish and received smart selection of Autoglym products in valet case worth nearly £50. Could have Bolle shades instead worth £60. A few of the manufacturers had owners lounges serving soft drinks, tea etc and you got in by showing your ignition key - Vauxhall had some nice ice cream! Sadly nothing on the Subaru stand. Take along any old keys you might have indoors! Beer tent outside along with the usual foodstuffs. Very few car guides around - seems they have totty taking details if you're interested. Said totty have no knowledge of their product though - there was a Suzuki there with reverse cameras in place of wing mirrors - I said to her I assumed the image was produced on a screen in the car then ..."yes, you see that shiney disc, next to the black thing on the dashboard...." Outdoors theres a Land Rover course and Mazda test track - fastest time coupled with points for technique etc etc wins their Mazda 2 sport for the year - there's queues for this so best head there first thing - straight throught the hall and out the other end! Finally, I have a complimentary ticket admitting a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) valid for any weekday to the end of the show on 3 August - a saving of £25 - if anyone can use it? Nearly forgot.......take a look at the electric car stand
