Canada? Any tips on how to keep transport moving through winter?
Took me 3hrs 20mins to get home from work tonight (usually takes about 40mins) :icon_rendeer:
Lucky you - I was "only" 6 hours for a 25 minute journey!

There you go:
Any questions - fire away

I must say,as an SIDC member for over 7 years and having attended many meetings & events (less so recently) both North and South of the border I find the tone of some comments pathetic. There is a real feeling of Jumping on the bandwagon. Kaz had every right to post her own feelings and for people to agree or disagree but the assertion being that Scottish members have almost "cheated" or anything similar by some replies is wrong.
The strength of the Scottish Section, in spite of many rival Scottish clubs, should be seen a strength of the SIDC as a UK club. If most of the interest in nominations, voting and taking on roles comes from Scotland - so be it - that's the reality. If it was Wales or Northern Ireland instead, fine. I didn't see hundreds of other names coming forward to do what is, essentially, an unpaid and and often under-thanked role, as Kaz will know.
I wish all the best to all new committee members, especially those taking on several roles - there would need to be one person to do this amount of free labour, for THE BENEFIT OF THE CLUB.
I disgusts me when people post here with a whole lot of tripe like "this club is going downhill", "I won't be renewing my membership" because one thing they dislike happens (and I don't count the current, more dramatic situation as an example) - the idea that people have so little in their lives they need to protest against something with is ONLINE, and is not real life is astonishing.
The club is, and always has been, what people make it. Someone in the North of Scotland is not going to set up a rolling road day in Devon, the same as someone in Birmingham is not going to attend a meet in Elgin! If you want things going, support (or become) your RO and try - and keep trying!
All the best to Karen - she has done a sterling job over the years, night and day, free of charge and from her own commitment. I am sure the new boys will appreciate all the support she can offer.

After leaving the Army Gumball concentrated his career as a salesman.
Wonderful artwork and nice to see a bit of humour.
being sensible, let's keep it relatively child safe

i have used both over the last few days and have not noticed any difference to be fair, montrose and back tank of juice
I am now going to run entirely on Tesco 99 I think, mainly due to the continuously appalling stock level of fuels at Shell Whitburn. Tesco is never out of stock and I am fed up going out of my way to specifically go there and they have no fuel (as for the last 5/6 days until today...). After being closed for months I hoped they would have sorted their supply situation - it was like this (and worse pre-shutdown) for years...

I bought a MY2008 STI in August 2008.
About 6 weeks later, I received a letter from AF Noble asking me to bring the car in to have an engine management patch applied. This was followed up with a phone call.
Ran the car to 47k miles without a problem and have traded in for one of the last available MY10, the MY11 being too expensive.
Set the Rev warning to 6200, to avoid over revving. Not sure why you would want to redline anyway, power is dropping off just past 6000 RPM.
Run on Shell V-Power 98% of the time, super unleaded otherwise.
Top up with oil given to me between services.
This was my 5th trouble free Subaru. All have sown about 2,000 miles a month. I'm sure the 6th will be just as reliable.
Very similar experience to me. Always faultless cars, put up with anything and the only cars I ever own which never need repairing.

where in airth bud or what they called?
It'll be Burgoynes - they are excellent.
-
only got the car in january and its now just 3 years old
OK - I'd check your service book. To maintain the body warranty it needs to have a 1 year body service then a 3 year body service carried out, at extra cost. It is not part of the standard service.
In case they use that as a "get out".

I assume you've had the 1 and 3 year body warranty services done?
