  1. Whoops - P2S Dougster called it - typo I think I need the strong stuff so Mark's stuff it may be. Want to clean the wheels soon, so it may need to be Wonder Wheels. However, anyone know if Mark's (Underwood- The Wax Wizard) website is up and running yet for ordering? Brian
  2. Pete, I touch goats
  3. What is PS2 or MC2 - a brand name and where from??? Never find Wonder Wheels to be that good really. They are similar ideas to I had - just mainly the best ways to remove the caked on brake dust where the ideas needed. Short of a scrubbing brush and Domestos Brian
  4. Thanks Dougs. I was thinking of something to strip the dirt off first and Wonder Wheels was a thought but I don't use this stuff regularly anyway - only ever use soap and water. Just thought I may have a go, for once, at actually properly cleaning the wheels I use Brian
  5. Cheeky question - I touch goats Pete, if you activate your PM facility Brian
  6. Hello all, Can you pass on your tips about cleaning alloys. I picked up a second set of Blobeye Anthracite Alloys (done 13,000 miles approx) to match the set on my car as spares and backup etc (plus tyres). Thanks to Clan2UK for the sale (see you at a meet soon BTW ). Anyway, I need to clean off all the crap from the insides and get them back to as clean as possible without damaging them or ruining the finish. I also need to clean my own when I take them off (23,000+ miles). Both sets are MANKY inside as you can imagine. How should I clean the brake dust and grime off them? Should I put wheel wax of some sort all over them and polish them to gleaming to protect them in storage and on the road? (Now I have a second set this will make this easier). Has anyone found a good car colour to match the paint closely - I was thinking maybe an Audi Anthracite touch up from Halfrauds may be close - anyone got closer (as Subaru do not do a touch up for them ) Any tips are more than welcome - I have ideas and have cleaned filthy wheels before but what have you guys done and do to protect them. Tips are particularly welcome from Ricey, HI SOOB (of course) and anyone else known for having big rims or rims they looks after well. Thanks in advance Brian
  7. Not that great quality for £60 - £20 for the mats and £40 quid for the logo Mine have been in the car for 23,000 miles so far and the drivers one is tired but cleans up well - I have placed a piece of underfelt underneath it to cushion the cars carpets and this is certainly helping (to stop the carpet wearing). Also, Cannon (who make good mats - sold in Halfords, always use them except these ones I got free with my car from the dealer of course - not that I paid £60 for them ) make a Heel Gaurd mat which has a rubber back and sits on top of the standard mat - I used one of them for 100,000 miles in a previous car and the mat was fine - the heel gaurd totally worn back to the rubber but saved the mat. Worth buying to save the mats. I do like the WRX Impreza logos on the mats - that's why they are still in the car Brian

  13. Not wanting to divulge the address of course online but not far from Lindsay Vauxhall. He drives a black 03 WRX with STI spoiler and STI wheels w/ private plate. He is going to try to come along to KH or a meet soon. SIDC stickers on the car. Brian
  14. Hey Andy, Glad you knew it was me. I pointed out your car to the missus "That's the loudest Impreza in Britain ". I was picking up a second set of wheels as spares from Clan2UK who stays in Dumbarton. Weather was good too for a change. Brian

  22. Hate this sort of thing. I have had cars keyed, scraped down the side, driven into, ariels bent, windows scraped, wheel caps nicked, wipers bent etc.. - I really was not meant to own a car... I should get the bus! Hope you get it sorted Del - it seems to be the season of car scraping, denting and mangling...I am staying well out of the way of everything knowing my luck. Brian
