Weve all got to take the rough with the smooth mate. I had to spend £500 on my last car within the 1st week of ownership due to a coolant leak

<< Herbie All you do is set up your account so as people without the required criteria can not bid If you get dodgy bids you can cancel them and block the bidder. You will loose no money relisting if they fail to pay, ebay will satnd good for this. No i do not work for Ebay, I am just a very very regular user Craig >> Great stuff, i'll look into that.

Ive never heard of anyones insurance premium as high as £250 per month (3K for a year!!) LMAO Im with Elephant, £550 per year, age 31 and 6 YNCB. I would insure the car yourself and add him as a 2nd driver

Ive encountered the same kind of problems selling mobile phones. Buyers using fake UK addresses then ask for it to be shipped to Nigeria in later emails. Its came to the stage where I wont except Paypal as payment no more. I always put " I will post within UK only, No overseas bidders" but that does not stop them. Its a waste of my time and money having to relist the items im selling due to these c***s

Hi Vicki, Im sure you will love your new Scoob, im on my 1st scooby too and absolutely love it. I sold my Nissan Pulsar GTiR to buy one. Mines is similar to yours......year 2000 and it only had 31000 miles on the clock Dont think ill buy anything else but Subaru from now on!
-
Offshore so cant manage Aint been able to make it to one single meet yet
-
Come to think of it - No. Possible that full boost was not reached on the r/r?
-
<< Dont think the tek 2 is mapped to 1.2 bar, think its around 1 bar. Mines also has same mods and puts out 280 bhp and 273 torque Cheers Coulster >> mmmmm, interesting. Deffo 1.2 bar on my boost gauge. Hope its not leaning out at high revs then!
-
Hi folks, What would you think the approximate bhp would be for this set up: I run a UK MY00, with Tek 2 ecu (mapped to 1.2 bar), full exhaust and decat, hks panel airfilter. my figs on the r/r were 256 bhp, 245 lb/ft which i was a little dissapointed with. I was expecting 280 bhp. Would you guys recommend a re-map or are that figures about right for a UK turbo? Regards, Herbie

Your stereo - what CD's you spinning just now ?
herbie replied to ~ ~ Cal ~~'s topic in Scottish Scoobies
White Strips - Elephant Nirvana - Nevermind Fleetwoodmac - Rumours Various Hard house cd's whilst on boost -
The one I went to see was a silver 1996 in a trader based in Edinburgh. I know there is 2 boost settings on the Starlet, but this one had an electronic blitz boost controller on it. It also had a big blitz turbo on it too. Before I went to view, it I had heard from other peeps that it was a quick car but it just did not perform on the day. Waited ages to view it too whilst it went through the SVA and a turbo rebuild. Put me right off them. The last I heard, someone in Glasgow area bought the motor.

Something wasnt right or just wasnt set up properly. It drove like it was 1.3 NA Its a shame cause it had some tasty mods. Bit scruffy round the edges and for the price he was asking I would expected it to have no flaws at all. Well happy with my decision to by an Impreza instead
-
Yeah not a bad price. I had one on my previous car (Pulsar GTiR) and it sounded brillaint! Would like to get another one sometime as im not to keen on the Bailey i have on atm.
-
I came very close to buying one of them until it came to the test drive. Was very dissapointed so bought a Scooby instead!

I think the cops should be focusing thier resources on arresting junkies and paedo's etc. I wouldnt worry cause you hardly ever see a traffic unit out patroling nowadays as they depend on speed cameras. Seems quite petty going after folk with noisey exhausts.
