  1. << Agreed about Kinghorn. I used them to get some major rust repairs done to my Alpina and they did a lovely job. I know this may go against the grain but after my ex-wife tried to take the Sport swimming in the Don. Arnold Clark did an excellent job which I couldn't fault. (and I tried!) >> feel a wee story coming on here

  4. Just had my own painted by a fellow called Warren, used to work from Kintore and is one of the best around. I'll get some details as a few of the local gang are using him and although not the cheapest, he is doing a good deal...if you follow See the post on the fellow looking for a paint shop in North West Glasgow for my remarks on the above.

  6. Great stuff Carl.., looking for 20 cars or so. Often one or two can't make it for good reason at the time, so if we just bump up the figure slightly we'll be in good shape

  16. Top ones for me too...and I could go for the tad bit no probs. Might be worth checking that the longer names will fit to keep the overall template a standard size, uniformed, so to speak. Then all we need to do is get them on the same place on every car

  20. << Ok people I have some more concrete details on a few fronts to share with you. First of all costs; SIDC members will be £25 per car for two power runs. Non SIDC members will be £30 per car, again for two power runs. Note; All monies to be paid direct to Wallace Performance on the day. Please also note; the normal price for an individual rolling road session will be £45 (two power runs), so we are securing some very competitive prices indeed Secondly, the order listed below is not necessarily the order the cars will run. Closer to the actual date we will put a running order together with approximate times. This list will be made up purely by the different types of cars we will have running on the day, in order to keep changes to the actual rolling road set up minimal. Thirdly, all participants will be treated the same, as per our SIDC track days. SIDC member will not take priority over non-members, regarding running orders, etc. However please note if people are only available during the Morning or Afternoon due to work commitments we will do our very best to accommodate requests Fourthly, the actual day will be Sunday 26th Sept, with a start time of about 10.30, to be confirmed with Gavin Wallace. Looking forward to seeing you all at our first SIDC rolling road day in Aberdeen CT, Please see above; Sun the 26th, start time to be confirmed, but expect about 10:30 for 11:00.
  21. Kart man, That's the very fellow. Worked with Ally for years up till 95. Likes his Jensen..mucho mucho. Great fellow, tough as nails when required I can tell you and one of my mentors as I came up through the Drilling industry. Used to crew change out of Holland in some awful states with him; hates a drink so he does. Many a flight we did not make together, as they would not let us on the plane and on the odd time we did get on it, we were normally off it before it was ?pushed back?. Remember once he walked into the cockpit thinking he was going into the toilet, drunk as a skunk, and as he was opening the door he was already getting the wee twin out ready for action. Well he let the twin go and stuck out the same hand to shake the poor pilots hand, Introducing himself at the same time; ?Aye, Ally Reaoch, please to meet you?! Could you imagine that nowadays. Get locked up for years. If you see him tell him I send my regards and said hello, and that I?ll come down there some weekend when you guys are having a meet and hook with everyone. Tell him I?m still offshore with the same company, in fact offshore Denmark right now, other wise I would be there tonight!!! See if you can get a contact phone number off him. Mobile or something. Would really appreciate that.
