  1. Try that titanium set i have on or around the workbench in the "office" - they have a longer taper and you can use them until you find what you need elsewhere? Russell
  2. True but you don't have to spend the money you have done to make that power out of a daily driver. You have, after all gone and done it the extra safe way ( built a 600bhp capable engine running 500 bhp power!) with Gucci bits and it will no doubt be an AWESOME car (one to be avoided on track, I have no doubt!). Russell
  3. Difficult tbh as your asking for 100 bhp more outout than your VF series turbo but want it to spool up earlier than that? plus spoolup is about more than the turbo itself, you need to factor in the correct headers, uppipe and inlet pipe too! HMM! on a 2.5, I believe Andy has had 500/4800 out of an MD321T, just don't ask what the boost pressure  450/450 on a 2.5 with daily driver intentions.......................................MD321T with 45mm bore uppipe. Andy will be able to advise better when he gets back on here. Russell
  4. 2.5 will spoolup earlier due to more exhaust gases flowing to the turbo for a given engine rpm (in theory, 25% more) in terms of extra bhp, that depends on ability to take more ignition advance, higher boost, etc and I'll leave that for Andy to answer (MUCH MORE QUALIFIED IN THAT AREA THAN I WILL EVER BE!) Russell
  5. I didn't mean for it to come out like that Andy, I know you have worked with the FP type, deadbolt type and the MD series but only described the ones that have been mentioned on this post. Whats your opinion on the Green? Seems that some of the FP parts for their Green and Red turbo's are coming in from Taiwan, etc and are putting people off so that question needs answered as well. Again, my bad! - I felt any form of Anti-lag is bad for turbos, especially BB ones in terms of rebuilding costs! Thanks for the info Andy. Enjoy Ireland Russell
  6. Scoobymania do the FP "derivatives" and Lateral Performance (and hence, AndyF) do the MD series IMHO, for a road car the MD series is pretty much unbeatable in terms of power delivery and spoolup due -amongst other things - to the Ball bearing Garrett core, but I am running an FP "derivative" as I'll have MILD Anti lag running and the FP core , due to its thrust bearing design, would be easier to rebuild and cheap to do so. I thought MD with Anti lag would be a bad idea and not recommend ..unless you have DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEp pockets! (turns out I was wrong about that one! ) in order of POWER OUTPUT ON ROAD FUEL (not preference) MD321H - 390-400 FP Green - 440-450 MD 321T - 450-460 FP Red 490-500 Russell
  7. It works M8, Erin sees a 2 foot tall Mickey Mouse on the TV and goes ape! Craigs little girl AVA is too cute to refuse anyway. I can see Daddy being skint by the time she is 5 years old! Russell
  8. Fair comment Craig, I don't do stuff for free these days BUT If I made as much profit out of my FRIENDS as you do.....I'd have put a 50" TV in every bedroom too Russell
  9. All I was about to say is that with the volume of work they do, combined with their well-earned reputation, this has been an small oversight on the part of one of the mechanics. Missing bolts I would be annoyed at, loose ones just need a phone call to the service manager and a request for a free service and all will be OK. A friendly phone call on your part will see them trying their level best to rectify the issue as I am sure they want to help. Keep using them Stephen, they didn't get their high grade reputation for nothing! Russell
  10. Same Garage that did your clutch I assume? Russell
  11. OK m8 - I'll read it now! Russell
  12. Nice one Frank! Russell
  13. It's just a wee country place 50" heater in the lounge is the Plasma TV, BOY do those things but out some heat! Russell
  14. You mean the garage heater or the 50" heater in the lounge Russell
  15. Dale - yes M8 - I have 1 set of the White Defi-Link gauges with pod for your My00 - but think fast, as there is a certain P1 owner sniffing at them right now! Back home in a little over 2 weeks time. Seano - 630 supplied and fitted using OE Defi Pod. Time however, is an issue as I have "the odd job or 2" to do up here in time for AndyF coming up the the country residence for a wee mapping session. Might be able to fit you in on my last Saturday home? 17th Nov? Russell Cal -saw the Bebo message - I did remember that I told you the 26th, its the wife who organises stuff at home without checking my "work schedule" so she just needed a little reminder
  16. YES and YES Russell
  17. To be fair Ian, your car looked AWESOME before th3 gauges went in! Seano - full set of gauges supplied and fitted is 630? any use to you? Russell
  18. Yes M8 - some like them some don't. Depends on what your looking for out of your car and how you drive it that best determines the turbo you need. Contact Mike Tuckwood or Jase down at Scoobymania and they'll give you the "lowdown". Then ask AndyF and Mark @ Lateral Performance what they recommmend Russell
  19. You get 'em, I'll fit em! 70 OK for fitting and setting up? Russell
  20. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! - PC = Porter Cable. I though you were getting all your training on the DISCO and X3 Russell
  21. Better get those priorities in better order Dunk...........you still need a turbo don't you! Russell
  22. I CAN! Russell
  23. Hurry, Hurry people, time is running out! Russell

  25. Easy Carl! Only trying to express the fact that everyone wants their stuff done on the same 4-week trip but I still have a wife and 13-month old baby girl to keep happy. Sorry to have offended Russell
