my dad finally got his k&n typhoon kit delivered yesterday but i was wondering if this would cause any damaged to the car if i put it on without getting a re-map? the instructions say it will function identically to the factory system except for being louder and more responsive so i just wanted to double check with all you experts to put my dads mind at ease. its a 07 sti spec d for those who dont know and any help/advice is much appreciated! chrissy

well as some of you know my old mans in vegas just now lapping up the sun while we freeze our bits off, hes been checking out the subaru scene over there and attended a couple of meetings, on saturday he went to a show arranged by flat4lv.com as part of SEMA week and not only did he get to feast his eyes on some of the nicest scoobs ive seen he entered the raffle and won 2 prizes! he got a full cold air intake kit from k&n and he won their prize of the day, a fully remapped ecu! how jammy is that! he also won a front lip but he decided to put it back in due to the size. he said the guys over there were fantastic and he was invited to go for a "spirited drive" through the valley of fire the next day aswell. well heres a wee pic of him at subaru las vegas with all the flat4lv guys. (hes the guy in the kilt @ the front btw) chrissy

i work in possilpark and my dad works in milton and we havnt had any problems atall, will keep my eyes peeled though from now on

if you have a rear diffuser on your car it will melt the back corner a bit (like my dads did) chrissy

ok guys and gals as my work has recently teamed up with eibach i was wondering if any of you crazy lot would be interested in a group buy in their pro spring kits which lower the car between 20 and 30mm, i currently dont have any prices for the group buy as im waiting for a reply from our main branch in wembley but i can guarintee it will beat revolutions price of £185 as we have matched that as our retail price. we are expecting stocks to be with us in 3 weeks so this would give me plenty of time to drum up some decent interest, these will be avaliable for all imprezas so everyone is included, if your interested atall could you please post your name up in this thread so i know wether or not its worth persuing. thanks in advance. chrissy

in answer to your question m8, the rear shocks are really common, aspecially on 03-05 cars, only thing to be done i reckon is get them done under warranty whenever they knock as i dont think theres a fix, my dad had his replaced twice and when he traded it in they were getting a bit noisy again lol chrissy
