My new steed, although not subaru, has turbos which have a bit of a reputation for cooking the oil in one of the feed pipes, Does anyone have about afoot or so of exhaust wrap they dont need? I am willing to pay / beer tokens & postage, or collect at Knockhill on the 19th if suitable Cheers Daz[]

I have STILL not had time to fit the suspension or rear beam yet [:$] I think the mission is to have that on & the new seats fitted for 19th Aug If I get a special t piece in time, I may have a cool bling bling bit to impress the chavvy types [] Are you staying to do any 1/4 mile runs in the afternoon? Well exhaust is on. [] Its bloody loud and pretty low too atm.[:$] took the opertunity to fit the quickshift while there was no downpipe to do damage to my fingers. So weather permitting, should be at crail on Sat. Daz

wind some insulation tape round the catch on the bottom of the boot, mine did the same & this fixed it nicely Daz[]

Excellent news Mr Scoobylav, (rubs hands []) Adam, Are they not supposed to leak oil? Ours has a dislike to gearbox oil. Update from here - I have just been handed 4 nylon bushes for the rear beam conversion - machine shop is now on the metal mounts [] Ah the joys of access to a machine shop []

Lol Adam, Its not cracked, we are changing from Std exhaust to "custom" 4 branch side exit type thing. I spent a few hours yesterday with the hacksaw and a load of bits of pipe cutting and matching bends. I must stop watching American chopper & hot rod so much [:$] Maybe I need to go and find myself a MIG now [] Ours hasnt used any oil in 5 trackdays now !! - maybe it just sits in the sump & doesnt go anywhere [:eek]

Nice one JC, Same kind of thing happened to me 1st day I got my Scoob - Got home, picked wifee up for a run on the back roads, came across a Merc all over the road, up the verge, fast then slow etc. followed for a bit then called Police on hands free, got told to keep him in sight & give commentary & location. At this point the guy obviously figured what was happening & floored it to try & loose us [:@] Scoob v Merc on B roads = only 1 winner (and not him) after 10-15 mins of back roads & backtracking a Traffic car appears & nails it after him. They pull him over about another mile along the road & give us a wave as we pass [H]. It turns out he was drunk as a skunk & already banned for DD. He was convicted for DD (again) , no insurance & no licience. Wouldnt give me a set of blue lights for the Scoob front grill though LOL Daz

Thats true when we were running "without assistance" you certainly had the edge. We have a few suspicions as to why that is which we will sort for the next one [] (fingers crossed) We defo need to sort the suspension though !! What are the plans then? I think with a bit of suspension mods it'll be quicker round the corners than ours.... Think we'll be opting for a 1.6 box soon as our clutch is not the best LOL, needs something sorted on the front psgr side (new hub, or lower arm).... and possibly new brake pads after the next one. Running fast road pads up front on std discs, and uprated pads and discs on the back.... with the bias a wee bit too much on the rear i think I think that could be part of the top speed issue with us, We are already running a 1.6 box as far as I am aware. Plans for stage 2 are leda 280 lb springs with new shocks,lower strut brace,quickshift, rear beam conversion to discs, custom exhaust with 4 branch manifold, fit the new seats (1/2 the weight of current ones), new air filter then see what happens [] Oh, Some bling Nos bits and new graphics will be happening too soon Worst thing is, most of the bits have been sitting in the garage for months, just not had the time to fit them. Daz btw - I have a set of EBC discs for a 1.9 which dont fit ours if you are interested []
