Wilky, my cousin has a quad cab SRT-10 Ram yellow fever edition. He was down the other night and took me out for a wee spin. The acceleration in it was incredible for a machine of such frankly ludicrous size. Probably faster than my stock WRX. Quite stiffly sprung and a bit ungainly round the tight Scottish roads, but what a riot.
He reset the onboard computer thing and then put his foot down from a 20mph rolling start. We hit 70 before you could say "f*ck me that's fast" and a quick glance at the display said ...... 1.9mpg. How I laughed.

You're just a P.i.m.p Chris. I made sure to tell Duncan that you fellows had sent me when I had enquired about my stuff. Speaking of which - 2 days to go!
-
JC, double check that price, because sometimes with confused I was getting quotes for a GX rather than a WRX.
-
Blobeye WRX is group 19 AFAIR.
-
Daaaaamn! Have you tried (the now very annoyingly advertised) Confused dot com?
I'm with Elephant myself, but I'll be giving some of the specialists a phone this time round I think.

<< £50 = 220 miles (average)
£50 @ average of 97p per liter is 51.4 liters is 13.6 Gallons
220miles / 13.6 Gallons = 16mpg
So it costs me about a tenner to go to Tescos and back!!!
Hence the Big diesel jeep with the remap sitting outside the door >>
Jamie, by my calcs 51.4 litres is 11.3064147 Gallons. We use Imperial Gallons and not Yanky ones.
So you're actually getting 19.5mpg give or take.
Not that it really helps much.

You'll need to make it go woosh next time you see me passing Andy.
Suggest to your mate that Lexus lights are next on your list!

Everything I've done to mine is not declared. But it's all very easily reversed.
I'm due to renew in October-ish, so I will maybe see what they want for "proposed mods", which will all be miraculously fitted on the renewal date.
Funny that eh?
-
This is hard to answer. Depends on what the rest of my life was doing. I'll have a think.
I'd probably try and wangle a company car or a job nearer home before giving the car up. Does that make me sad?
-
Andy, get a good backbox. It makes driving all the more pleasurable. I think my turbo spools up earlier and stronger than before too.
Dump valve is high on my list of future mods.

A bigfoot Impreza or any scoob?
Cheating a wee bit, but that's close to my heart as it was the first Scoob I owned, as such.
-
Are you running a boost controller Chris, or is the "secret button" to do with the ECU?
-
I'll have a think bout that Ricey.

I do like the Cusco graphics, but I don't want anything that mad.
But yes, much prefer the Cusco livery to the WRC livery on non-blue cars.
-
Hmmm, yes. I might get some cheap ones and give it a try. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but it could just be because it's a half arsed photoshopping.
The spoiler is fantastic though. Pictures don't do it justice. Loads of good comments about it. Even my mum likes it!
-
Where'd you get them from Squirrel?
I see Drift Academy has them for 16 of my crispest one pound notes.
-
Opinions please. Not on the clealry useless bit of photoshopping, but on the style/basic idea.
I went for companies I am either using or will be/would like to use in the future just as a reprasentative selection really. So no taking the pish for making my car look more tweaked than it is.
-
That was a riot. I must get some of these JDM option DVDs as the trailers always look great.
-
What time were you there Russ. I seem to have missed some of those cars.

John, most helpful one, are there rules regarding what helmets can and cannot be used?
Would a standard motocross/atv helmet or one of these relatively cheap open face ones on Demon Tweeks meet the standards set out by Knockhill?

Great website that the Jun video is hosted on. Been a follower for a few years now.
Just noticed that the Cusco car is running on BP! He'll want to get down the Shell and get some real juice!
-
I like Jamie's effort. But I was going to go with:
Surely a JGTC one will be the fastest?
-
He really is an expert fisherman. He must have caught hundreds, if not thousands, with his windups.
At least I do hope he's just a windup merchant.

<<
show me a video clip of a 1/4 mile race >>
The legend at crail. Looking forward to tomorrow Chris?
I'll take a a vid of Solberg's crash from Germany last year, not the in-car one too.
Just got my insurance renewal thru.....

REMEMBER REMEMBER REMEMBER that a cheap quote on conufsed needs to be double checked with the insurer straight away. The number of cheap ones I got through that were quoting for the wrong car (GX) was quite high.
If you think those quotes are expensive then try this one - in 2001 the AA quoted me £9000 on a 6 speed manual Twin Turbo'd Supra with no mods. The car was only going to cost me £11K!
