  1. The Road Angel Classic is not a radar detector for a start. Radar detectors are largely useless these days given that most police forces are moving to laser, and that most speeding detection is done via the fixed and mobile cameras anyway. You want/need a GPS based device for pointing out cameras and popular mobile locations. Such as the Road Angel Classic et al. I'm personally using the Classic and I love it. It's discontinued now though I think. Laser detection is largely not worth the paper it's written on unless you wire it up to your garage door openner. Nudge nudge. Wink wink. I know there's some people here using the origin B2, and it looks a nice bit of kit it must be said. The new more compact road angels are good too. You could of course go for TomTom Sat Nav and download the speed camera database for that. My mate certainly uses that with great success.
  2. Gumball. Your best bet is to trade your STI boot + spoiler someone with a WRX who'll give you their boot. The STI boot has LOADS of holes in it compared to a standard WRX boot as far as I know. I got my wing from Scott Lowe as I said, but there are others available. Check out www.japanparts.com www.srbpower.co.uk, www.ebay.com and have a search for "Carbon WRX" and check out all the gucci bits that turn up. Oh and Scoobyworld sell that wing I've got too. Obviously with mine it has those black shrouds that cover up where its mounted. I know Ricey's wing has a much cleaner look to it on the boot itself. But then I just bolted mine in place. The WRX boot only has 5 holes - 4 for the spoiler and one for the brake light cable.
  3. It's a great place to learn 4hero. There's some very mad scientists here.
  4. I'd like to see a button that filtered out all the O/T stuff. I've left forums I really enjoyed because they deviated too much from the subject matter and became a repository for crap jokes and complaints about the cost of cheese or the quality of toilet roll. I've left forums because they tried to categorise a community into loads of different smaller communities and ended up with severe fragmentation of all and sundry too though. I'm not having a go at anyone, but we don't need the latest joke email that everyone's already received 5 times pasted into the forum. We don't need threads about nothing in particular, or about largely mindless drivel. Yes banter is one of the things that makes this place what it is, and the occasional bit of non-scooby related chat is good, but not for the majority of the forum to be made up of it. This is a great community, and I hope it remains a great community.
  5. Lol. Calsonic. YOU CRAZY! I can see I'm going to have to up my game this year to catch you up in the battle of the Black WRXs. I must do it for all of blobeye kind! These bugeye infidels must not win. Quickly Robin, to the bat cave!
  6. Damnit. I was hoping to get a free JC Scoob. No such luck.
  7. I did an entire honours project at uni in about 4 days. I studied an afternoon or a morning at best for each of my exams. I slept through half of my classes. I came out win a 2:1 Honours degree. Result.
  8. Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't make it yesterday. I do like my sleep at the weekends though.
  9. Nightmare Gordy. After talking to me about my splitter related incident last saturday too! Oh well, get some cash together and get the CF one.
  10. I'm not a heavy braker usually. Even on track it seems. I'm also using the WRX Pads and the standard WRX discs, rather than the brembo STI stuff.
  11. I'm using red stuff pads without issue, on standard discs. Taken a good beating round knockhill and lived to tell the tale quite nicely.
  12. Peter, will you have tickets at the next meet? Also, is one of the raffle prizes the nights takings or am I reading that wrong?
  13. Didn't get out my scratcher until half 11 this morning after being out last night. Was a bit late to head up for the good cars and the hot hatches in the afternoon don't interest me nearly as much.
  14. LOL thats what i was thinking Says the man with 1500+
  15. I'd like to thank all my sponsors first of all. The good people at Visa and Master Card who make many things possible. And of course all involved with the SIDC who make the site what it is. A haven for slacking at work!
  16. Only certain areas of the world are available in high res. Larkhall isn't one of them!
  17. Gold just doesn't work with black for me at all. I'd say picture 5. http://www.ultralitewheels.co.uk/WP-755.htm - those in black with the silver lip. Oh yes.
  18. Good luck Craig. Hope you get some hot nurses.
  19. www.bestmotoringvideo.com - some good ones there. http://www.mph-online.com/web/wallpaper - couple of nice ones there too. I'm using one of the dodge challenger ones here at work. I'm using one of the best motoring ones at home I think.
  20. I know of a picture of the Pandas. I will try and find it and so someone can maybe pshop Winston onto it. It would have been funny I assure you.
  21. Just for clarification, it was the small picture on the previous page Gumball refers to, not the one of Lee Hotti right above him. We were going for A B and C really. Stag do, possibly still drunk from previous night and I was gutted that I couldn't stage a photo of me trying to hump a plastic panda somewhere else in tivoli gardens.
  22. I've read all 47 pages on the thread now. It's quality. The guy even has his own fan site now - http://www.leehotti.com/index.htm
  23. Welcome back my friend to the show that never ends.
  24. It was a dig! Phil's a busy fellow who does a standup job along with the other guys and girls, but that's not to say I can't have a wee go. Good luck to your brother Phil. If you've not had a stag doo for him yet then just remember - an eyebrow wont grow back in time!
  25. The power figures make me foam at the mouth. The scoop is just fantastic too. I love the cobra in most of its guises, but that one is my new favourite.
