Does the powder coating remove or reduce Light kerbing areas? Mine need doing but wondering if i need that sorted first.

My Vf 28 is running about 1.5 bar and has been foe quite a while, Wuz had if off for a look when he fitted my downpipe and said it was in good condition, no shaft play etc. I have 320/310 on quite a safe map, so the vf28 can do the job with good response(STI 8 Topmount) I have seen them for around £100 on flebay
