Ta. Too many BBS's, so can never remember if they automatically make the clicky or not. I'll post some pics of the one I have.

Given a new Buffalo jacket for Xmas, but it's too large (size 44 chest) and I don't have the receipt to get it exchange. Costs around £100 in the shops, but make me a reasonable offer. Anyone not familiar with the Buffalo gear can see info here - http://www.buffalosystems.co.uk/dp3.htm Stefan

Tyre outlets around Motherwell - Glasgow area?
ozzy replied to Marky-San's topic in Scottish Scoobies
What about the place in Cumbernauld? ... Jim Dicksons or something Cooper Bros in Newmains, but they gave me stupid prices in the past. Remember 50% mark-up on tyres, so bagger them. -
You can get a caliper servicing kit from any Dealer too and I don't think it's very expensive. Stefan

A pic where the hose was rubbing the wheel arch. Not happy the Dealer didn't spot this. Only took 1 large'ish stop to shed all the brake fluid and I had to drive the last mile home using the handbrake. It's obviously been rubbing for a while as it's worn away the underseal and exposed the metal. Trust me to get my car serviced on a Friday Stefan -

Yeah, most suppliers have said they only get in kits of 4 from Goodridge. You can buy them in pairs, but it's an order-in job and could take a week or so. I'm loathed to buy a 2nd set, just for a single hose. I've checked all the other hoses and there's nothing wrong with them so I really don't need a full kit. if I have to buy a kit, Goodridge won't get my money - I'll spit my dummy big time -

Will even take some OE rubber hoses 'til I can get mine fixed. Sold my originals for about £10 doh! Stefan -
What pads and discs are you running? True warping on discs isn't that common unless you use cheap ones that can't handle heat. Most brake judder is uneven build-up of pad deposits. Making sure you don't rest your foot on the brakes after hard use will help stop and pad imprints on the disc causing more juddering. You can give them a severe thrashing to try cleaning them or some light sanding with wet 'n dry can scrub off pad material from the discs. Only real way of knowing if the discs are warped is to have them measured. Worth checking if the contact area between disc->wheel hub and alloy->disc is clean as this could cause the disc to sit out of line in the caliper. Stefan

Are the tyres different compounds and make? what's the tread like between front/back. Personally I didn't like the Prodrive settings. Felt the car understeered far too much with them. Now running zero toe front, but extra camber front/rear. On Prodrive settings, my car wore the front insides a lot more. I would get your geo checked and then get advice from there. I wouldn't just walk-in with the Prodrive settings on paper. I did that and found out my car was already setup with them - doh!

Anyone recommend a very good garage in the central belt
ozzy replied to ozzy's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Well, it looks like I need a garage sooner than I think - Oh cr@p Most likely get the car recovered to Dealer and sort out everything at the same time. Stefan -

Are you being a smart @rse? .................. again -
Sorry, they're a bit too rich for what I'm looking for. I can buy new Toyo's for less, so really looking for some 2nd-hand ones between £200-£250. Stefan

doh! it's on now. -
Need to get some new suspension fitted and have my brakes looked at properly. Easiest option is to hand the car to the Dealer, but time of year isn't great for £60 per hour labour rates. John Banks recommended the garage in Dunfermline, but it's just too out of my way. Anyone know a good garage close to Motherwell or Livingston that have worked on Impreza's and will do a good job? Want to stick my 17's back on the car over winter. Looking for 4 x 215/40/17 or 205/45/17 tyres. Don't really care what make as long as they're mucho cheapness. Stefan

Congratulations Derek Out of interest, how much milage do you do in a normal weeks training? Also good to see the first Brit across the line was another Scot in a time of 2hr 31min. Stefan

I was heading back down there around 4 o'clock and they'd gone already. I got stuck behind some old git in a Volvo and glad I did. Felt really smug passing them at 45. They have speed trap signs up about 1/2 mile from the Lizzie Brice, but you don't expect the actual camera to be at the other end of the road. Very sneaky. I've also spotted Traffic in Breich clocking cars along that very fast stretch out of West Calder on the A71. Stefan
