  4. Far too overpriced.
  5. Don't sell it John if you can afford it!
  6. Thats because all you done was to polish it to death LOL
  7. Ok folks alot of progress has happened over the last few days. The headers are all complete apart from the fitment of the 38mm V Band Tial wastegates. The wastegate entry pipe has been cut back to as short as possible to reduce the amount/volume in the headers prior to entry of turbo.Hopefully all these reduction will decrease spool up time. Next was the to try the headers on to the block and start fabricating the down pipe to suit. Pics of Meercat's hand welding....brilliant finish and near fish scale welds done by robots. Now on to the box for the side/front exit exhaust.I'm going for a side exit as i wanting to get rid of the exhast gas as quick as possible to maximise power and power band.It has been known that race cars have changed from the normal system and backbox to a side or front exit exhaust and gaining as much as 50bhp or so i've been told!Forgot to say that the box is re-packable...you'll see the bolts on the rear of the box. And now for trial fitment of the bumper in place with the side/front box. Looking good so far...i like it. Now for the tail tip. This project has been such a laugh!! More pics of the whole headers and down pipe set up. Enjoy......to be continued
  8. I haven't got an clue
  9. Its never fast enough Colin Lots of good advice here John and i guess you don't enjoy track day as much because of fear of damaging you car or transmission?
  10. Nice example of a bugeye
  11. On with the 2nd header pipe And bang... 4 header pipes are on. Wastegate pipes in place in ready for the 38mm V Band Tial Big thanks to Meercat for the hard work over the last few days and its on the the down pipe and exhaust tomorrow.
  12. don't be a silly plick! Go and buy a banger and use your scooby as a weekend toy.
  13. very nice chap and is much better driver than most of us put together! But that is racing for ya!
  14. So any chance of a pax lap?
  15. I think the turbo will reach 400 with a bit of addictive but not sure if the pistons will like the 1.6 bar tho!
  16. Maybe you didn't go for the extra load ones! I've had F1 and the tyres wall was way to soft for the track but was comfy for the road. Now i have the T1R extra load and they are fine on my 550bhp scoob
  17. That is one of the highest torque figures i've seen from an oem EJ257 it must for a lively drive. Gonna gees a shot gun next time Mark?
  18. I had an enjoyable day supporting the scooby squad even tho my own scooby is ready for the event. Was to catch with everyone... Mark aka Frank STI Nice to meet you even tho i did call you FRANK allday ...sorry mate. Got say welldone to The Hypertech crew for the excellent work and good money raise for charity Oh and thanks to Tom Cruise for the ride up there and back
  19. I'm sure i will with that amount of power on tap.
  20. Here come more pics from the work at Meercat today. Its off with the single scroll sump as the pipe work for the headers are going to be longer and unbalanced between the left hand and right hand exhaust ports so its a swap for the twin scroll sump that i want to use for the twin scroll turbo. Its going to be an equal lenght header and it will not sound like a normal scooby anymore. Its on with a twin scroll sump and look how the pipe work runs as per factory set up.The first header pipe shown below is the longest pipe run and is approx 750ml.So with a maximum volume of 4 x 750ml = 3000ml = 3 litres , there has been alot of volume saved. On my previous set up my old headers was approx 5.2 litres.Surely this saving would mean there is less pipe work to be filled by the exhaust gas and should make better use of the strong exhaust pulse and should there for decrease spool up time and hopefully make full power from this set up. Wullie at Meercat has also fabricated 2 funnels for the twin scroll turbo flange and would hope to make better flow from the headers going into the turbo.Currently the 2 funnels are slightly different shape/size but these will be rectified prior to completion.
  21. That would probably wipe his bank account too!
  22. Thats nice but i don't like the make up of different models. EVO 8 or 9 RS is the way to go.
  23. Just check my project thread
