  1. Looking real good Chris The garage looks spotless and please keep the pics coming. What turbo did you go for?
  2. Thanks Stephen but i don't have the testicles the size of belgium, they are much smaller than that. Its all in the course of progression, nothing ventured is nothing gained right? TBH...this and every other project that we all do is alot of R & D for others to look at.No doubt there will be issues that will bite back harder than you care to know but doing things slightly different is all part of modding. Without us mad modders out there to push the bonderies that bit further, we will never make any advancements. Plus AndyF has already ran this set up on his drag car for a few years but that is a pure race car. And Zen is currently running the set up on their Time Attack car but then its still very much a race car. So what i'm trying to do is to make it more available(to read) to the general public/scooby modders and see what it can be acheived from my round of modifcations.I only hope that everything works out well as the certainty is still a very much an unknown factor on a road car point of view. The car is currently at Greersport to get measured for the front end work, i.e-custom rad/fmic combo, custom mounts to support the rad/fmic which is being made out of T35 which is what roll cages are made from iirc, custom slam panel, removal of the standard fit bonnet catches, fitment of aero bonnet catches,a new oil catch/breather system plus a few other bits and pieces that i've forgotten about. Pics to be continued later this week.
  3. Thanks for the heads up...i'll keep that i mind
  4. That was a mid 11s run
  5. Nice but here mines......
  6. Speak to Alyn @ As Permance he is your man for brake parts or any other scooby parts.
  7. doesn't look british. but i do like it...its carbon bonnett and spoilerless boot.
  8. It is burning the disc if it's shiny?
  9. This will be for a full system wheither is a decat or sportcat. I'll get a price for gruop buy next week.
  10. but its good tho
  11. The turbo and the whole header/exhaust system will be geeting ceramic coated as well as having a turbo jacket to try and contain the heat in. As for the pastic cam cover i think we are putting on some gold reflective sheet to help that but i don't think there is much to do to help the belt survive the heat if it is still an issue.
  12. Hi there You probably have read my thread about Meercat building my exhaust. I trust their workmanship is of a very high standard and i would go to no one else to build my exhaust. I could arrange a group buy at Meercat for SIDC members and hope yous can take advantage of this for the goup buy on the remapping by Andy Forrest. Andy Forrest also maps my car too and i will be going there once my car is up and running. I would need more than 10 cars to get a good group buy price and i/Meercat would need your membership card to qualify for the group buy. 1.
  13. Note the fitment of a V Band at this section. I'm going to be running a fully unsilenced system for track/strip and a silenced for driving in the streets/back roads. That V Band would make it a quick release for swap over time. There is going to be a small silencer on the screamer pipe just to quiet it down for street use LOL. Oh Meercat has welded in 2 hangers for supporting the exhaust box. Thats all for the now and it will continue on monday.
  14. I was down at Meercat today...alot of work has been carried out. The exhaust box and tail tip has been finished. The overall length of the sytem is as short as a regular scooby back box! Here is a close up shot of the re-packable back box. The pipework has be finished for the entry of the twin wastegates.V band fitment has made up the whole building process alot easier, quicker and neater...no more blown gaskets. The exit for the wastegates has yet to be complete as other work has to be carried out before it can be finished.
  15. He is buffing the weld up on the flange face and its not to hide the joins for ceramic coating....buffing up all the welds would decrease the strenght of the welds so what would be the point in that?
  16. Meercat is your friend plus you can have a preview of my car there if you are quick
  17. Thats mental that thing.
  18. A bit more of an update. Meercat has done a bit more welding. He has welded up the pipe to flange face. This would seal up the little gap that was there and will be getting the weld polished up and cleaned off for the final finish. He is currently working on a F430 soft top...the guy wanted a backbox to free up more noise and power!
  19. I like your style
  20. I don't really know mate and i don't really care as long as it doesn't melt it. I'm going to get the headers and exhaust ceramic coated
  21. Thank you sir You let them know that you seen the pics on here
  22. No problem Rich...glad you like it Yes this car really mean buisness this time
