  1. I think you have out spend me by a little LOL. but modding is like drugs
  2. It your choice but i bet you that all the mods that the person has done would have cost more than £9K!
  3. Most Important thing is Gary is that you are going to be driving this and more importantly is the spec. From all the post that you are making is that (I think) you are after a scooby with more than 400bhp. So from there you can find both classic and newage with that kind of power for sale on the web. But you have to make sure that the OTHER supporting mods are there to make it reliable. ie..there is no point in buying a Classic with 400+ but still have standard transmission and brakes as that is where the extra cost and hassle will bite back!So happy searching as i think Jimser has bought the last good one. So saying that i'd say finding a 400+ newage is easier but trying to find a good spec one maybe harder. If you can find one with a extra strong engine and a turbo to suit then you are laughing. That WRX with 430bhp has alot of very good bits on it. It has the new black Brembos that came from the hatchback STI plus all the transmission mods that will cope with the EJ22. But you have to make sure that its a full closed deck EJ22T block and not the open deck variant. The EJ22T block is now like rocking horse sh!t and is possibly the strongest subaru block ever built. The current EJ257 block are very good too if built correctly by a reputable engine builder and i don't think you can get better than Cosworth. Chassis and shell rigidity wise i think a newage has the upper hand but loses out in the weight side of things. So its horses for courses as they say. Happy searching mate and please make sure its the right one for you and a scooby is a scooby after all be it newage or classic.

  18. so what is your point? The funny thing is that we are slating ourselves! Do you know the cost involved in running/maintaining a car like these? Even at my spec i probably spent way more than the cost of my car.... Are you worried that we may be beaten at the charity event? If we do get humped then just let it be.It's getting involved and having a good time that counts
