  1. << De-tango is very close to being an option. Just building up the courage for the hairdryer/oven special Just the thought of 2 x £15 for two pairs of silver bulbs - seems a bit mad - maybe have a quick look on eBay for some bargains... >> Brian GBKPERFORMANCE.CO.UK are doing Silvatec bulbs just now for £4 or £4.99 a pair me thinks Gus
  2. << Oh, and I think the other "geezer" who bought one is thinking of keeping ther STI spates on and selling the splitter instead... Brian >> ....are you talking about me not made up my mind yet!!!! I'll fit Al's first n decide from there (unless I sell it first!!!) anyone want a splitter the same as Brians in WR Blue available on 20th January??? PM me Gus PS I'm now thinking of buying the rear lower apron to balance it off! Gav, I'll phone ya monday for a price
  3. << sound, i feel as though i could do it all again. i was actually going to get up and drive to Glencoe, leave the scoob (take some pictures) and walk up into the lost valley for a few hours on the quest for fitness again. but guess what.................... Ive only been up 15 mins and by the time i get there it will be dark. Rangers game tomorrow, Kungfu sunday then back to work monday. poor show >> Chris, just wait until tomorrow thats when the legs will hurt mate
  4. A pensioners' quote for you Gus Yip, its gid tae be old sometimes and have "40 years" NCD. Cheeky bathtub Gus
  5. << All depends on how insurance companys view the car, if it is the uk300 you have was it not model approved? or is it classed as a modded WRX by Subaru? Wondering as the WR1 was model approved & insurance companys have it on their databases as a specific model of Impreza & it being a standard car as it came delivered with all the bits ie Prodrive exhaust, PPP etc fitted. The uk300 should be the same i thought? Does it not come delivered with PPP, Prodrive exhaust fitted? Yes it is and is listed as a specific model! Gus
  6. I'm with Admiral and again WRX300 with PPP (which is stardard spec for the 300) is listed as a model and was/is cheaper than a standard WRX with the PPP. (thats why i bought the 300! ) I'm paying £438 with fully protected maximum NCD, Class 1 Business use and legal cover. If yer getting silly quotes give them a go! I was getting some ridiculous quotes before. Gus
  7. Zeolite, Yours is the 300 like mine yeh!?! Which means it is actually part of the standard spec with the Prodrive stuff!. Knowing insurance companies they would probably see the "standard box" as a modification. The nutters! Gus
  8. Mountain Bikes far too energetic! My work involves me a lot in making the routes that you guys use for MB's Some of them are a bit mental but if thats what you enjoy!!!!? I prefer Scoobies n Motorbikes (and Chainsaws) Petrol head me naaaaaaaaaaaa .....and maybe thats why I'm getting fat Gus
  9. << sorry Gus, just noticed you gave Gavs details before me after i put that post up >> Nae bother Scott, Happens aw the time
  10. << Gus, Did you buy the front splitter from Subaru @ Ian Grieve??? Mine is in being painted at the moment and should be fitted on my car VERY shortly Brian >> Yip, I did Brian! and so did Irish Al. Getting them painted (along with my new spoiler) @ Stevie's (Walker) in the next couple of weeks. Although, I'm liking my Sti corner splitters so might just get a splitter to match that and sell the Subaru one on Gus PS this Fuel thing seems a good bet. I just got an e-mail back from the Guy so, worth it for the price of an e-mail.
  11. I've registered! worth giving it a go me thinks!
  12. << dent wizard comes to your house or work, very good >> I might need to give them a shout for the annoying one on my bonnet
  13. Try Auchenlea Tyres Between Newhouse and Wishaw (@ the Auchenlea tip) I've always shopped around for tyres and they come up tops for large size good branded low profiles. Other good bet is DPH in Bathgate on the rd out to Whitburn they too have been very competitive (and handy for your work). Gus
  14. << Gus mate where did you get ur corner splitters from? and who you get to paint them and fit them? And who you get the spoiler from? Prices if thats not too cheeky. Am thinkin bout the rallytec rear high level spoiler on my uk300 wi the carbon top just for something a bit diff but wi similar looks. >> Spaceman-In Addition to my response yesterday the sti corner splitters (winglets) can be purchsed from gradeasubaru.co.uk for £112.00. Gus
  15. Deffo looks better in the daylight! A bit different too
  16. << Sorry I hadn't noticed your reply Colin, We're booked into the Inverness Travellodge, not the Fairways which is just on the outskirts of Inverness. See ya, Del >> ....Both are OK guys and are only 3miles apart so don't worry if you can't get in one Gus
  17. I'm watching my computer screen @ work pretending I'm working
  18. << i'm from shotts , i have a few ideas for my car but havn't made up my mind yet . there are so many mods to choose from >> Welcome! Just over the road from me mate! (Harthill area!) although my office is in Shotts( Hillhouseridge!) so I'll keep an eye and and ear open for you. What colours your STi mate? I'll be in a WRX300 with "P*GUS" number plate or a white Saxo when my heids no right. Gus PS if you pm Scoobyseller 555 (Gav) he can let you know whats on offer parts wise from Subaru! Fancy a front splitter? Good bargain!!! I might have one spare
  19. "McDonalds, McDonalds,Kentucky fried chicken or a Pizza Hut" know the tune? How about a chinese Buffet @ either Livi or Whitburn!?! Infact anything as long as its edible I'll eat it Gus PS can we have the meeting any night other than Wednesday 25th please, please, please PPS I'm also happy to do the bowling again as long as the RO doesn't cheat AGAIN!
  20. << Gus mate where did you get ur corner splitters from? and who you get to paint them and fit them? And who you get the spoiler from? Prices if thats not too cheeky. Am thinkin bout the rallytec rear high level spoiler on my uk300 wi the carbon top just for something a bit diff but wi similar looks. >> got my corner splitters from "for sale and wanted" section of this forum cost me £50 plus £40 for me old mate Stevie Walker in Bathgate to paint. Fitted them myself piece of Pash the only other thing you need if you want to do a proper job is more grommits (nae Wallace required) which will cost you £8 from Gav @ IG or any reputable Subaru Dealer. with regard to the Rallytech spoiler I got it from G6RAY who had bought it fit on his scoob before his smash. Got it for £100 and its exactly what I wanted. I need it painted tho so, another job for Stevie Walker!!! I was going to get one from DRMOTORSPORT but its £500. The Company G6RAY got it from was GBKPERFORMANCE and I think he paid £150 inc postage finished in primer. the spoiler is exactly the same as the Rallytech one but you wouldn't get it with the carbon me thinks. Painting of the spoiler would set you back £150 from Stevie boy (details supplied if required!) so thats £300 instead of £500 Gus
  21. << i enquired about prodrive springs the other week and s&s and they said they were only about 150 quid for my car dont know how much to fit them though >> Thats about the going rate for Prodrive or Tein springs but they will take 3-4 hours of labour from you for fitting. Back seat out etc... so £300-£400 of your finest pounds will be snatched from your mitts. Gus
