  1. Yeah, dropped you a PM over on AS Dunk
  2. Where did you get the fuel rails from?
  3. V5 WRC ltd (only half as many built as the V6 so makes them a bit rarer)
  4. Recoat in Glasgow do a 1 day service. Based just off South St Recoat Ltd Arch 5, 157, Curle St, Glasgow, Lanarkshire G14 0TT Tel: 0141 958 1777
  5. Contact Bitz in Nairn, they may be able to help you out if its someone local (they build and prep a lot of Impreza Rally cars), If not take the trip down to Perth to AWD Motorsport
  6. That would have been Andy Napier's AWD car Think some of his runs were faster than that though
  7. Went there with my RS16i, they ran it on the rollers then told me I needed a full engine rebuild as it only made 100bhp (atw) ....it was only 115bhp at the fly in 1982 . Was told its cash up-front and they would do the work 'when they had time' When there another mate asked a question about a RB5 he had, it came with a bleed valve fitted which he had never touched as it ran fine, but still questioned if it was meant to be there or to remove it.....the response astounded me.....'course not standard, even my granny would know that' we still joke about that now ......they are a bunch of arrogant twats IMO. I would never go back or use them....customer service skills leave a lot to be impreoved on
  8. Very nice, looks like an excellent example Don't see very many about Im sure you will have fun owning one......I know I do (786/1000)
  9. Ha ha, Vpower in Inverness, most of the time they dont have any Best bet is to fill up in Keith (thats what I usually do). If you do need fuel in Inverness the Shell is located up near the Hosiptal at Raigmore. Two ways to get there from the A96. 1) Turn left at the Milburn roundabout and head onto the A9 south, then take the 1st left exit, turn left at the lights then head sriaght on at the roundabout, past the hospital, Shell is on the left. 2) From the A96, take the 2nd exit at the Millburn roundabout, heading towards town, then left at the next roundabout, that will take you up to Raigmore, so follow the road til you reach a mini roundabout, turn left there, you will see the Shell garage when you are sitting at the roundabout, its just next to the Pub Hope that helps ya Marc
  10. Go at AWD, great service and worth the trek. I have used Bitz Motorsport in Nairn as well tho, very good to work with, plus they own several Subaru Rally cars so know their stuff. Personally I would avoid anyone else in the North area, unless I really had to use them
  11. ordered one last wk from Andy at AWD, just shy of 90 notes
  12. great idea, i was at an event there (or a similar airfield around Elgin) a few wks back, run by Moray Dub Club and saw a lot of potential for getting something sorted out in terms of a trackday due to the size and amount of available space. One issue perhaps would be the liability and insurance side, although that may be overcome by having it as a closed event? hopefully you are sucessful with any enquires as these places have as much to offer as Crail does if it could be organised
  13. yeah seen it a few wks back, we were laughing at it thinking 'look at the chav with the neons on his focus' [:$]......then it pulled someone over....Doh
  14. that one used to belong to a guy in Ness, if its the same car, its a beast, very rapid, put a lot of Evos in their place lol. also a youtube video of it humping a superbike across culloden moor []
  15. Aplan, quality service really cant fault them in any way........by far the best i have ever been with, polite, friendly knowledgable and maybe most important when you all up you actually go direct to a specialist, no automated number options etc
  16. both look great cars, love the WR1 as you know, its just mega clean [] i'd be up for a RR day just to see how mine is running for diagnostic purposes......dont care about figures so long as its running sweet and fast on the road
  17. where in Inverness are you going as there is no longer a Subaru dealer in the area, fromerly it used to be Dicksons in the Carsegate. They will still do Subaru work and i have never had any problems with them, they put in a new sort motor in mine when i was in a total jam in about 1 wk and all within the budget discussed. I have my car getting MOT'd on sat in there, they dont open til 9am, but have made an effort to squeeze me in at 8.30, i really cant fault the level of customer and the workmanship in there. Whn it comes to ordering parts as i have a JDM STI, most dealers act like arses arguing about chassis and part numbers, but i call up and they just order it and get me the correct thing. As for Aird motors, when they were a subaru dealer it was always legacy's and forresters they delt with as they were really aimed for the farmers of the area
  18. last Vpower up north is in Inverness....not that they usually ever have any tho [:@]
  19. lol, no luck there. remember you can always get another wife, but can you find another car thats built to the exact same spec as yours
  20. lovin the cossie-ness lol, great choice in the aubergine as well bit of a rare colour......it was originally a small turbo car, but the original turbo will be long gona if its 380bhp as they can support much more than 300
  21. any ideas if these can be bought anywhere or if anyone has any spares or is it a case of contacting a breakers to try getting one??
  22. That would have been mine on my first run. The circle clip under the shifters ball socket decided to snap off allowing the shifter to come out of its ball joint when i went into 3rd gear so I had to abort the run, coast to the end and get a tow back to the car park. still managed that in a 14.7 at 85 mph which was quicker than a lot of other stuff there. Managed to put it back together so it works but its going to be quite loose till i replace that clip. Hell of a way to remember your first ever 1/4 mile but it shall be fixed and I shall return one day. must have been the day for that, same thing happened to me twice, both times changin into 5th and being stuck at the bottom or the strip, luckily i hav had this problem before so with the use of holding the clucth in i managed to coast out of the way to remove the plastic cowling round the gear stick then using extreme anger and force managed to shove the ball back in the socket........most frustrating tho.....meant on every run i was conciuos of this happening again......i was the blue STI 5 wi white wheels that held everyone up BTW lol
  23. autoimage in glasgow use a place called recoat on south street (not sure about edinboro), they refurbed my wheels for 35 quid each, that was repairing, blasting, powder coating and balancing.......and they did a top quality job http://www.powder-coatings.co.uk/
  24. i went to AWD, they fitted the stuff and arranged to get the tracking done......quality service, even got a beef salad sandwich too highly recommended
  25. yip from inverness, belongs to a guy called jason something, i know he uses scoobynet, very nice car, saw it on Fri nite, looks mint and is one very rapid motor from what i've heard
