  1. I got my latest Scoob in June MY07 STI and put the WRC graphics on it. Only other change is a TSL Group N back box & de-resonated centre section to make sure the Scoob burble is there. Not got fed-up of the graphics yet but did take John's (The Welsho) advice and did not go for the dayglo graphics just normal yellow. Den
  2. Someone on Scoobynet speculating that Alisatair may also be involved: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general...olin-mcrae.html This not looking good guys (regardless of who the victims are) but tomorrow's papers are already making claims http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../ncopter115.xml
  3. Quote from latest SKY NEWS bulletin: There will be no formal identification of any victims this evening. The air accident investigation team are en route to establish the cause of the crash.
  4. Scottish News: says the damage is so bad that they still do not know exactly how many were on board let alone being able to identify them!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgo...est/6996860.stm
  5. Oh Oh! Still no confirmation of who and how many were on board!
  6. Just a quick update to reflect car change for me & Mrs Big Den []
  7. Colin McRae drove the 2007 Subaru WRC car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed - looks like these pics are from that event. Den
  8. WTF is all that sh1t all over the engine in the new STi I just picked up? Looks like someone with a heavy cold sneezed all over it!! [+o(] or Shrek melted [:S] Think I'll have to do the same operation as Colzo did Although dealer advises leaving it on to stop the aluminium parts oxidising!! [] Den
  9. I think you meant CONDONE not CONDEMN m8 Den
  10. Well strangely enough, I just had to return a centre section to TSL bought for my Hawkeye - no way that the floating flange would go far enough forward to connect to the downpipe - the bolts were not long enough even without the springs. Sent pics etc to TSL & they agreed something was not right and checked their stock. Apparently, their supplier made a mistake with the production run & someone forgot to machine the inside edge of the floating flange so that it could come far enough forward!!!! Now waiting on a replacement!! Might not be the case here but worth checking! Den
  11. or advertised new for £23,267 (incl. the £1k Subaru UK discount) on Grieve's website until you actually enquire about one then there aren't actually any at that price - hmmnnn!! In all fairness you were on holiday at the time Gav. Den Sorry i was on holiday m8,how many would you like at £23267 on the road and what colour. i have them in stock ready to go![] Gav Unfortunately, it's too late. Business went elsewhere - 1x STi & 1x WRX [] Den

  13. No doubt there will still be a hose pipe ban in July/August!! Usually some pash about the wrong type of rain - it's ferkin wet!! Den
  14. I know it's great when there are offers on new Imprezas or Special Editions - I h8 to keep saying it but, if you are looking to part ex against one (whether you currently have an impreza or not) it comes down to the 'cost to change'. I think we all know that the dealers will reduce the part ex prices given in line with any price reductions on new cars or on Special Editions loaded with extras that potentially reduce margins. We also have to consider the knock on effect these price reductions may have on depreciation of the cars we already own - I refer not only to the GB270 but also the reduced price of the standard WRX just announced. Den
  15. & now we know why there is a reduced price on WRX's at the moment and why they are saying that currently WR Blue WRX's are very rare - they want to clear out the other colours, keeping 300 WR Blue's back for this last 'Special Edition' scam. If all goes to plan the demand will be there for the last 300 WR Blue WRX's and at a price no doubt!! Got to love IM!! Den
  16. This is fine & dandy if you have no part-ex. It really comes down to the 'cost to change' as, IMO (& past experience), the part-ex value decreases in line with the reduced price of the new car. Den
  17. Just let the wife get her own scoob - problem solved. [] & yes she does b4 anyone asks []
  18. Well I'm probably gonna get pelters but so what..... I've had 6 Impreza Turbo's since 1998 and have run every one of them on normal unleaded with no problems whatsoever. I have not experienced flat spots and the cars always feel responsive and fast enough for me. The last 3 have been UK STi's. One of the earlier cars was a company car that I did ~28K miles in a year with no issues. Dealers I've used for sales & servicing have told me there is no issue with using this fuel. Each to their own. Den
  19. If it's the plastic clip with the nut moulded into it you are talking about you can get them from your local Subaru Dealer Part Number 91086AA000 ~£1.10 each + vat. Den
  20. I have exactly the same on my two front RE70's on my STi after 5.5K miles. Thought it was my driving style aswell. Is it worth having the geometry reset to fast road / grp N on the standard STi springs? Not sure I'm bothered about changing to Prodrive or Eibach springs. Den
  21. When we were meeting up for the start of the September run, someone had brought various Subaru stickers with them at fairly good prices - think it was Sammy the Chamios? Will anyone have these with them on Sunday? Cheers Den
  22. That looked like a WR Blue Subaru rear spoiler that the camera was looking through at the start of the Edinburgh car parking feature. Wonder if the owner knew there was a film crew mullin around his Scoob!!! Den
  23. Got this via another forum earlier today: http://www.online-sign.com/ Might be of use to some of you - not spent a great deal of time on it so far but apparently you can design & print your own signs and also some standard signs free!! Worth a look? Den
  24. something doesn't seem right pricing wise here guys - got this off the main SIDC For Sale thread on CG Lock topic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CG-Lock-The...sspagenameZWD1V If this is correct it's cheaper to order from this seller on ebay even though it's from the US!!!! Den
